And by the by there is no flasher that will do a proper job out there with any files... besides the hardware based ones... Even SE's Own is flawed... never mind everyone elses wacked stuff...

I posted here to make people aware that they can post general problems with the firmware on the developer forum (eg problems with transferring files to memory stick)
I posted on the other forum to get people to post on the developer forum about the upgrade problem

Exactly, it's my phone that's knackered here (and a good few other users)
Making some comment about a duplicate post (which was duplicated for a reason) didn't really get the camera on my phone working again.
The link to the files, however, was helpful (if i had the software). The snide tone, however, wasn't

Hi! Sent my w800 to the service here in sweden 2 veeks ago and got it back today! Jippi i thought,they had fixt a lot of problems accept a working firmware.. i uppgrade to R1N035 myself,and got it back with R1NA005, i chekt if it whas ok in the store before i left. The camera didnt workt att all, so i yelled and talkt to the se, and in the store. and all i can do whas to send i back for 2 more weaks, if its not working when i get it back in 2 veeks or so, i whont even bother to sell it, im gona throw it to He... ive given up! I hade it for 2 weeks an they for a month!! Thats service! |

I have also turned my phone in for "repair" since my new firmware messed up my phone. I asked them to put back my old firmware (the firmware i had when i bought it) I recommend you to demand that they do so. Because, as far as i know, the old firmware is the only one that works! Anyway- don´t give up! Demand that they fix it, and in resonable time! After all, it is a warranty issue! Eller hur? |

So i took two weeks before you got it back? Hm if no hardware is broken then i don´t see why the hell it should take the two weeks tix fix and reflash it!
Warrenty issue= säg åt dom att detta går under garantin!

By the way i recommend you to mail your complaints and issues to SE on their support site. I did that to put a little bit preassure on them. |

You know if something is wrong I demand and exchange before a repair... repair is what you resort to when there is no other way....
Once you acept a repair you loose all rights to a exchange or even a refund....
Seriously guys I lived in Sweden for 1 long hard year.... Umea to be exact.... I know they will bend if you know where to push....

well i understand that it was a long hard year if you lived in Umeå hehe.
I gave him the advise to make them to repair it when i was under the impression that the famous 28 days had passed. Just a parentheses but I just read through SE:s warranty policy and you have a 90 days warranty on any repair or, if you have over 90 days left of the original warranty, then you have that time as a warranty. |
