Angel, you don't need to recharge nor have access to use the gprs for browsipg but you need access for mms.
i've used both 16k & 32k sims to browse.
You just need to leave ur sim in ur handset & be patient for the service to come. one of the lines i tried that didn't work yesterday is now workidg... just be patient...

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to say that I am one of the few people who seem to be enjoying this news awoof from MTN. Egunjespoillagos gave me the lowdown (he tried to get paid for it) and my Vodafone branded P910i seems to be working fine. As soon as i get the hang of it I hope to be posting from my handheld. But at least I don't have to get two phones now. I was really dreading that.

@Mamba: I'm interested. How much do you want for it? Send me an sms on 08052036848 with your address. I have an 0803 sim that detects gprs presence but when I try to connect, I get the error message "GPRS parameters not supported" any suggestions? _________________ This message was posted from a T610

too late amby, my brother has collected the line & is using it now....
if you have a sonyericsson phone, you can be very sure the service is active when you see the complete full blue triangular signal above the network signal bar..

Yes Mamba, I see the blue triangle, but still can't connect. Error message is "GPRS parameters not supported" does this mean I've got the setup wrong?

I must say that the guys at GloMobile billing department must be wondering what has happened at my end! I haven't touched my Glo line in over a week.

I hardly make voice calls, so GPRS is their main source of income from me. Eya.

amby, you have the wrong settings..
i tried to config a t610 & k700 but they didn't work until i sent settings to 4777, so do the same thing and save the autosetup you receive, i'm sure this will solve ur problems.. that's if you have the full blue triangle on ur phone.

I have sent the "settings" text to 4777 and received a welcome text as well as my password to the mms online album, but no settings were sent to me. Do you think mtn is now aware that the service is already being taken advantage of?

I am certain that by now they are aware of it. But I bet they will still keep mum.

Yes yes yes! Finally I got it working after countless trials. Next step, configuring my pc to accept and connect using my built in modem.
@Aya: how did you get your 9500 to work with your pc? Bluetooth, IRDA or Data cable?
