Skibbe is right. Just came from the lobby of where I work & they were showing off the Arc - it's the first time I saw one up close & in action. They had the unit hooked up to a Bravia TV and demonstrated games (the Shrek race thingy) , videos , photos and MP3 songs. During the 15 minutes I was there the display only paused once , for about half a second, during a highres video.

I saw close up how the Bravia engine could enhance contrast, sharpness & colors and how Exmor tech could brighten a low light shot. Dual core is nice but not essential (yet) for smartphones (diff. story though for tablets).

 | If you're waiting for arc I really don't think you'll be disappointed with it.
I'm still picking it up and thinking "wow!" every 10-20 minutes.

Did you get blue or silver?

 | It's the dumbest sh..t I've ever watched. C'mon don't trash the thread.
BTW if double core is only worth such an advantage, it's just not worth it.

The real power can be seen in every day usage across many situations.

 | Ask them to discount the portioned value of the phone from your monthly bills until the new handset arrives.
We all know the £30+ per month isn't purely the cost of the calls, texts and data but a portion of it is a contribution to the cost of the handset. If they're delaying you for 4 weeks, you should try and get that portion back.

This happened to me with Vodafone 3 weeks ago. I ordered online and all was going well, delivery to local Vodafone store next day, etc etc.

Then the email, same as your email, came. So I cancelled.

The cancellation was confirmed by email, but my tariff details were not cahnged back to my original tariff and still showed the new contract details.

I had to phone to get it reset to the pre-upgrade tariff!

I will wait till I can upgrade instore so I can actually walk out with a handset.

 | Well it's got a lot to compete with really especially up against HTC's offerings.
Still hands down the best smartphone camera on the market at present.
