Ok, is it known whether they are replacement units or unsold retail ones?

no idea.
SE told me it was one that haddend been sold. in an unknow SE service point.
i hope ginz doesn't read this cause he's looking for the phone aswell and he lives in holland. he could be crazy enough to go to every store
oyea i'll ask if the stores has got any other phones left.

I see. The reason i asked is that replacement units often donīt come in original box, with manual and accessories but rather in a "plain" cardboard box with \\\-logo and nothing but a mains charger..

@threex - I'll keep you in mind if the T18 turns out to be dead!
I'm guessing those phones I won are new but unsold stock, do you think the batteries in the phones will still be good, or will they have died after perhaps not been used for a long time?
Apologies if this questions been asked before, I'm sure that these old /// batteries are pretty rugged!

I have said many times by now, but i donīt mind saying it again.. IMO itīs use, not age that kills the batteries. I have purchased new(old) batteries for T39, T66, R310s and T28 and they perform as well as new, new ones * wow, that looked odd*

I know every Dutch SonyEricsson Service Point. And also the shops that were Service Points, but ain't Service Point anymore at this time out of my head

@3x to tell the truth, i tried already older ( for longer time not used batts, mainly bus and bsl ) and even they were packed, the performance wasnt the best.

yes, i did but i guess, i has also much to do in what kind of area will they be kept ( temp etc ) years long. but i might be wrong.
