Salam
there was something like that for the P900/p910
so I'm sure there should be something in the future for the P990
You can check www.my-symbian.com for programs.

Arabic SMS reader is available in Bahrain for the P990i through the official SE agent but, they will only install it if the phone is bought through them. |

They are selling the P990i here in Bahrain for B.D. 295. They are out of stock at the moment.
@amnesia
If you're still looking for the Arabic SMS reader I can try and get it for you from the agent but, no promises. |

Now I have something to keep me busy for the next few weeks. Hope will not get any problems.
Don't want to update the firmware yet 'til problems start to show up...

Like to some lucky members - Im also now a happy owner of SE P990i. I am postive it will continue to be that way, perhaps happier even in future if firmware upgrade is always available.
Was out for 3days as flu bugged me down - i always relate it due to much depression of toooo much anticipation of SE P990i.
Thanks @ Amnesia (?) (i think he's the nice fellow) that advised me to check Axiom. However it took me a while to grab one as Axiom replied its already OUT OF STOCK & availability 1-2weeks! Of course i didn't accept that fact. You couldn't just imagine during 11 Sept, i visited one Axiom to another - visited 5 axioms branches! LOL. Luckily i manage to grab the last single stock from one of their branch. (tagged at SAR 2,995.00)
Sep 12, two Sony Showroom called me advising me that the P990i is now avaialble in their shop. So to all Saudi (and saudi based fans) of P990i check your local Sony showroom (tagged at SAR 2,999.00)
Im a proud user of Siemens SL45i and SX1, N70, and now SE P990i.
now let me set the keyboard aside and leme play with my new toy for a while. LOL

@amnesia,
I'm so disappointed with SE for taking so long in getting the P990i to market that I decided not to buy it. I'm sticking with the K800i and the Motorola K1 for now. I hope you P990i fans get the Arabic reader and writer soon. |

@jalal - i second your idea/opinion. even though i really wanted the P990i, somehow im not as excited as i was when it was still rumored or announced. im in no hurry in getting it, although i tell myself that i would surely like to own one as long as the price is right. im stuck with my k800 and m600 which is quite okay for now. i don't use it at the same time but its fine with me. tbh, i don't use the gprs and 3G function of the phone and i know that im missing out on each of my phone's features, but this is because of UAE's expensive gprs/3G rates. They said that a new network here in Dubai is coming before the end of the year; maybe by then competitive rates will show up and id get to use my phone's to the max. The only thing im missing is the wi-fi feature. anyways, how's the motorola k1? i didn't know that it was already released.
I just wanted to share this to you guys; my 3rd k800 almost died on me again(WSOD). Luckily, it responded to the charging mains since the first thing i did was plug it in the charger as soon as the screen didn't light up and the red led from the infra port just blinked. I guess that's the fastest solution, so if you guys ever encounter the WSOD(in which i hope no one does) the best thing is plug it in the charger and see if the charging screen would come up.
Good day to all!
