Still free here apart from the occassional 1p charge for each new connection. A small price to pay for the hundreds of MB I've had for free!

The 1p thing is strange!
I thought it was charging me 1p for texts (which also should be free) so I went to ask O2. They rang the customer services & they said the 1p charges are for connecting to GPRS.
I don't really mind and I also just leave it permanently connected

yeah its still free and I dont get charged 1p anytime so its totally free but even if they did charge 1p its not much for the hundreds of megabytes as was mentioned so either way it works out great. long may it live

I've used 4.5MB today & if charged correctly that should cost about £12 I think! And thats just one (quite typical) day

hopefully my sim card will be waiting for me when i get in!
a mate of mine said that when you cancel an o2 contract that they send you a pay as you go sim with the same number - do they still do this? if they do i think they might have lost a contract customer! |

You'd be best asking O2 themselves to be sure if they'll do that but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't as they want to keep u on contract.
Then again if ur quiting the contract they may try to keep u with O2 on PAYG at least

ok i got an 02 sim card today from ebay and i cant get it to work, it keeps on saying activation rejected and ive been trying for the last 10 mins constantly.
Do i need to do any additional things to the sim card? alls ive done is register an 02 e-topup card and put £10 on it. Any advice or help would be most useful. |
