yes, from Islam believes, we believe the Bible have been altered and changed... n these changes are made by people not prophets.. therefore the words from the bible will not be able to take account in Islam as its the words are from a normal human bein not prophets... even the most holy Islam man is not allowed to make changes in the Quran.. if im not wrong, tats the reason theres different types of christianity these days... and Islam is just one where ever we are, what we believe and practise...

even my words and peterkay's word are words from the Quran.. we are not allowed to make up something nice just to make you believe Islam is this and that.. thus its creating a sin or might aswell be creating your own religion..

Absolutley correct 02. The Qurans words will never be altered. It is still the same as the days of revelation. Wherever you go in the world you will find the same Quran with the same text and no changes.

This is the beauty of the Islamic religion.

This is what the Quran says in Chapter2 Verse 2:

This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah

yeah it is a nice thing to know.

I'm surprised that many Christians didn't know that the Bible was altered, specifically by Kings who did not like some of the rules that were handed down.

That's how, if I was religious I would see the Bible/Quran, as a GUIDE to living, I wouldn't follow it to the letter, and as many have said, it is open to interpretation, which is one thing which worries me the most about religion.

Perhaps that's how these books are meant to be read - almost as a 'lifestyle' guide for living your life properly and responsibly. When whatever book says 'live by these rules or be damned to hell' or something, what it really means is 'your life may well be empty and you will be sad, no matter how much you deny it to yourself'. 'God' and various prophets are merely characters in this story to illustrate points and how to live a good life free of guilt and without being too selfish, over-indulgent or materialistic.

I hope this makes sense!

@sammy boy
Make’s sense to me

I was brought a Christian (although not one now) buy my grandmother, she’s the average kind of English grandmother, brought up during the war, who to be honest is a bit of a racist (although she hated Hitler ) and cant see past her Christianity.
So growing up I was forever being told about the bible. But never once was I told about the bible being changed by kings and others by the Sunday school or church. So thanks I’ve learnt something new today.

I also believe that the Jehova's witnesses have their own bible, which their founder changed so that they weren't allowed to do things like donate blood.

It must really cheapen a religion when their holy book is changed depending on the whims and preferences of kings, individuals, cults, etc.

The Bible has Not been altered by King james. He only translated it to english from the greek,latin and hebrew texts which were the original writings of the disciples, prophets and chosen people who wrote down what they saw and what God told them to write. The Bible is true in Every way and and been proved to be true every single time- check on the net if you don't believe me.

all entertainment is welcome.. aslong it not erotic or anything tat is at high risk of making one creating a sin... aslong u have the time to pray 5times a day.. it should be ok. Some are so scared they even put entertainment aside and keep wat they doing best, pray and do all the gd stuff... but then again i cant live that way... but i try my very best to balance it out... I listen to HipHop and i watch American movies or any movies for tat matter... its the matter of havin an equal time for both world we live in and spritually..

Five times a day!!! lol good luck with that, I've always found devotion a most commendable virtue. Congrats!

Now, as for the bible, NOBODY alive today knows for certain what it really said in its original form, as The New Testament of today was written in the third century by Constantine and his church.

Interesting, if a bit inflamed, reading:

Yes. Some of the accuracy is also bound to be lost in translation. Isn't part of the bible missing? I remember watching a TV program about the Dead Sea Scrolls or something.

@ajape
yes very true... 5times a day, 35times a week, 140times a month, 1620times a year.... yup you guessed it.. no holiday or excuses to miss any single prayer.... but then again im not perfect do you actually think i pray 100%... well some managed.. and some dont.. its all about balancing it out.

In a day the 1st prayer starts when the sun rises, 2nd is at noon when the sun direct above 90degrees, 3rd sun quarter setting, 4th when the sun sets, 5th basically at night. Each will take no more then 7minutes depending on individuals.

yup basically tats the basic time of prayers.. seems easy to just say it.. but the actions of doin it is so hard.. coz u got the world to enjoy and focus on, devil in ur ear, saying ur lazy or hey go esato more news to come, etc... hehe..
