Good for you. Which application/feature do you think drains power the most?
resistance is futile. |

how much batt time do you get on k700i if ur just listenin to mp3?
i get atleast about 8 hrs+. i think my batt life is quite impressive compared to other k700i. i have latest firmware and also completely charged batt for 12 hrs when i first got it (i didnt even turn it on for 1 min to see if it was working!!!!). then every 6-7 days i discharge batt completely (leave on BT and mp3 overnight) and then charge it up completely. this has helped improve my batt life quite a bit.
hope this helps |

@sanj:
what type of K700 battery do you own? the BST-30 Li-Ion or the Li-Pol ?
AFAIK they are rated to be both 700 mAh, but I think that a minimum difference can be felt while using one or the other.. |

Ok. Here's what I've noticed: i used optimised charging (while the phone is on) till indicator shows full batt, them immediately unplug it. For about 2 months performance degraded noticeably. Then last month I've been charging it while it's off for about 4 hours, then turn it on and leave it on charger, cause it starts recharging even though it showed full batt. And it's kinda better now, by 15-20 percents, at least it seems that way to me.

i don't regularily recharge my 10-month old t610. but every now and then. it's never depleted when i hop it in the charger. sometimes it's 75% and i recharge it. most often i dont even have it fully charged. och, fast paced life
still, the battery holds on just fine. absolutelly no suprises. lasts days to a week and talktime is at its best. when i got it i insisted in fully charging the battery before operating it.
my hbh-600 is giving me some trouble. variable operating time..from 45minutes to 3h. dunno. i have the same charging treatment. i'll probably go easy on the little one soon, tho.
i miss my old nokia headset, made in romania, with a full astounding 6h talk time!
my HP Ipaq h6340's battery is the best performer. listen to mp3 for 24h!!! until it completely drains out. wow.
case study: full backlight on, GPRS continuous session/transfer, mp3 playback to headphones, extra text imput and file management/various apps (documents, pictures, even watching a movie), all this on a train, very variable network coverage (blackouts quite often, forcing search mode on the device), for 8 straight hours. arrival always finds me with about 45% battery left. the best power management i've seen in a smartphone. stoked! usual "it's 56%, let's charge it for no surprises...".

@danberte
The phone battery is li-ion while the battery for the BT headset is Ni-MH, that should provide some explanation for the difference. The2 kinds of battery should be treated differently |

@ ESTOR

I did read some where before that fully discharging your battery (i.e. to near 0%) is bad for Li-Ion and Li-Po. The recommendation in this case in fact is to re-charge anytime it has dropped below 50%, and every month or so, only then perform the full discharge before re-charging.
True?

@Zhudm. You are right. But one more point is you have to d.charge it upto 90 percent then & there to work out the last stage of the cell.
