Has anybody ever ordered from these guys http://www.fones4free.com? £37.99 for the phone on a £50 per month talk 400 contract, can't be bad.

Or here http://www.advancedmobiles.co.uk

Do you think there will be better deals (for the P900 on contract) after Xmas? If so, I might as well wait 'til then. I mean, OSPS have made me wait so long now that I'm used to it.. [addsig]

Ady...

I suppose prices will go down gradually all of the time, as with all techie type stuff, how much this may be though is debateable since demand still seems quite high compared to the amount available (on Orange at least!)...

Who knows... perhaps OSPS plan on passing your P900 directly onto Santa, who can then in turn deliver it to you on the 25th December... though which 25th December is anyones guess...!!! hehe

And i was looking through the forum earlier, noticing a post from you in a different topic... early November i think, saying you would get your P900 within the week... if only that were true hey!

After all this fuss, the highstreet must be a better choice surely, and think of the pleasure you could have cancelling your order !... just don't buy the P900 from a shop before cancelling, otherwise you may ironically end up with 2 (!), though you could then fob them off as a sort of revenge...

e.g "oh well i will return it to you, some time this week, or possibly next week... it's not my fault... but you could refund the money to my card all the same, since it was taken out before disptach, it is fitting that it should be put back before return! "
There is no human problem which could not be solved if people would simply do as I advise.

To tell you the truth i think that OSPS havent got any idea of when the stock for the P900 comes in and have probably been told to say this week for the delivery time every week by some stupid management person.
The truth is that even orange don't have the phones for me to purchase and until Orange have sorted it OSPS wont be able to, however debiting the card without actually being sent the phone is a mess up. However I bought my P800 from them for excellent value and all my after service goes straight through orange so I may still use them in the future for a new phone better than the P900 because its too similar to my phone.

I've just checked mobileshop's website and apparently they have them in astock again. I can't understand how mobileshop can get them and OSPS can't.

It gets even more suspicious when you read this post:

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=45189&forum=35

from that post it would appear that some people have been getting them OSPS - if that the case them I am extremely upset (as if I could be any more upset than I was!) as I have been waiting nearly 3 weeks for a replacement phone and have been paying line rental for a phone and SIM that I don't have.

@ucjtckc

Im replying here as it seems more relevant to this thread.

I ordered it last week, I had to phone up and the guy I spoke to checked stock while I was on the phone and said he was suprised to see there was stock in.

As its a very new phone I had assumed that it was popular and supply might be low, OSPS was one of the few people selling it that I could find.

Even so I had heard they (OSPS) could be slow sending but I was prepared to wait for the price, O2 wouldnt match it, said they only had leeway of £50(?). I had a bit of hassle sending proof of address, noone ever phoned back to my messages but I managed to catch the girl I needed to speak to while she was at her desk and got it sorted.

That was on Monday and phone arrived two days later, I was pretty shocked. I feel pretty bad now after seeing all the people who have been waiting for ages as they should have dealt with those people before seeing to me but obviously Im happy to have it.

Seems like OSPS's main problem is their inconsistent attitude, I think a lot of people would be happy to wait as long as they are honest and feel the company is doing their best.

Looks like they ARE getting them in stock so the people in sales may believe what they are saying and that the phone will go to the people phoning, but whoever is doling them out isnt following this. How else could I manage to get the phone before someone who should theoretically be ahead of me in the Q?

regards

Did you receive an O2 phone then? If so, that would explain why we haven't had our Orange ones, as they wouldn't send us an O2 phone, only an Orange customised one.

@ariddell

Sorry, I havent read this thread so didnt realise it was mainly Orange users having problems, was just replying to someone who asked me.

@Telukin
Im not sure, it hasnt got any markings so its definatly not an Orange phone.
