float,
Am I to take it from your reply that I can't download the MS Bluetooth Beta Driver from anywhere?
Thanks

You could. But why bother when you can readily use the virtual com ports instead?
Unless you like torturing yourself, or a beta tester |

Yoman, dont worry it's a feature. :-o if you cant minimize it, you will find the FMA icon on the system tray. Right click on that icon, select restore. Now you can minimize the app.

@619
This happenned to Gowin before, it's an error message (mean Unknown Error) return by the phone, and i don't think i can do anything about that. (or maybe impose some delay between each sent)

Just some status report, i've completed OBEX Get implementation and some findings/experiment about IrMC Sync (SyncML is too complicated at the moment). Currently implementing a XML based 'ContactStore' and vCard Read/Write (needed for Sync), i've droped "Windows Address Book" due to some technical difficulty.
After this i will implement a simple UI for Contact Management, and then actual syncing, changelog etc etc. So, it will still be quite a long way before next release
Btw i noticed that in Slow Sync (needed for firstime), first the app have to read all contacts and what is the slowest part in slow sync, the phone just simply slow in pumping out data, and has nothing to do with the transfer speed etc. I used to blame the XTNDConnectPC for the extremly slow's slow sync but it turns out to be the phone's problem...
If anyone has any usefull information or hints on Syncing, or more 'readable' document for SyncML over OBEX... please let me know.
Cheers,

been quiet here for quite some time. how you doing foat?
anyway, i'd just like to put forward a suggestion. can you add icons for manipulating messages (copy, forward, archive, reply, etc.) in the menu bar too?
that'll save me some clicks instead of the right-click pop-up |

Ya, i've been busy with other thing and didn't touch FMA's code for quite sometime now... halfway implementing the ContactStore...
I think you mean the Toolbar, forward and reply are there when you select a message. Copy/Move to arhieve will eventually be removed when i work on the MessageStore later
Cheers,

@jorns
Don't rush, the actual release date is very near. Check this out if you really can't wait a few days more:
http://www.windowsxp.nu/
However please take note that Microsoft's Bluetooth support is not included in SP1.

floAt: Thanks a million!
They moment I read about your program, I ordered a BT adapter
I' sure this program (esp. the Active Menu Script part) was the reason Bluetooth was invented!
Works perfektly on XP SP1, using Ericssons DCU cable to T68i.

MANY people are asking in the forums "How can I send a file from the phone to the PC using Cable/BT (IR is no problem)". I have read 10-20 threads with this question in various forms over the last month (!!), and have yet to se a solution?
(Somewhere, someone said Anycom BT SW supported this, but they didn't follow up on it)
(SE MyPictures has a receive Picture, but it is grayed out for me.)
a) So, if you could make some kind of rudimentary receive function, that would be very nice!
I don't know what protofile the phone uses when we select an object and choose "Send" -> "Bluetooth", but I guess it is OBEX or OPP ?
BTW: OBEX is not on the list of officially supported profiles for T68x... Odd.
The PowerDVD script is very nice
b) But I have the problem with not being able to adjust the Windows volume (PowerDVD is ok). It mutes whenever I change volume. Can't unmute.
c) Also I would just love to be able to transfer the picture from monitor to TV and esp. back. I guess this is a Windows API thing (hope it is not dependend on the Display Driver), anyone knows how this is done in jscript/vbscript? Or a pointer to info?
Thanks again! |

@Bhaal
With regard to problem (b)...
Have you installed floAt's Media Control COM Object?
If you have, you will see something like a...
MASTER VOLUME
28%
...on the top left corner of your screen when you adjust your volume with FMA on.
If not get it from here! |
