havent came here for quite a while...and dont seem anyone did too!!gosh!! We cant let the Irish thread fall lads!! come back!!!!
-----------------------------
anyway,i think i understand why the mobile industry is so slow in Ireland compare to asain countries. The TRADEIN sucks ass!!!
like my friend got the K700 last X'mas and she wants to get a new phone, and when i was in HK i asked people how much does my k700 worth, and it was $1100( in around 100e) .so we went up to carphone warhouse and asked about it.the person told me you need: phone(obviously!) ,battery and manual for tradeins(in HK,ppl jus bring der fones!).....and they'll give you some money off the phone you gona buy........guess how much they;re willing to take off??
20e(or 30e i dnt membr) !!!!!! like WTF!!so i asked him, right if i got a phone 3mths ago(which would be pretty new still for Ireland!) what's it gona be.........the price is unchanged!! no wonder people get hold to their phones for AGES( no offence, but u could have an opportunity to tradein and spend less on the new phone.)
i was quire pissed off

Hey darkcloud. Never got your responce till today. Never bought in thailand but you were right about the price. Was to worried about warrenty issues. It was the start of my yearlong holiday. Now i am in melbourne. My P910 turned out fine but i left it at home as i did not want to have to charge it every day. Am using a K300i which i bought out here. Poor irish thread is not posted on often. Anyway cya all. |

Hey folks anyone out there..... Just woke up from a 10- month hibernation. Ha Ha.
But it had been a while since I visited the site... Anyway just got myself a K750i a couple of months ago and it is the Best phone I ever had. Got a free 1 GB MS Duo stick as well... Who needs a bloody iPod!
Might even get it flashed with W800 firmware....
Go on the irish!

Hi, have only just been pointed in this thread's direction (thanks masseur!). Not irish, but've 'lived' here for 10+ yrs - and nowhere near Dublin (shoot me, but when I ph. Customer Service - any service - I'm actually pleased when I'm diverted to assoftheworld-istan... No offence, my native friends, but try getting anything useful in this country (exc.f. Dublin, maybe)... The manager of the local o2 store owns k750i, but didn't know u can really'surf the web' with a phone... He thought it's just a metaphor, or...
Anyway, Hi, and there'll be more from maggflodd (sorry for inter-rupturing this thread...)

Wow, I'm lonely here... Talking to me own! H E L L O...!?
Noticed o2 ireland's latest speakeasy 'upgrade'? Yes, they removed the only recent decent addition, the w550. Do they WANT customers to upgrade elsewhere? I recently re-ported to o2 with vf (yuck) k750i and o2 have not 1 real UP-grade handset, not even a fun-toy like w550... Oh MY!!! Pathetic! (Not as pathetic as blair's bush, but really).

right im new here and if this sounds kinda stupid then fair enough.
but i was asking in another topic if you can turn the noise of the camera off on the K750i and they said i should ask here. im also interested in the w800i but still not that sure as to what differences there are between it and the K750i, if you could help me out it would be much appreciated.
Thanks |

Hi daboyo, not sure i can be off much help. W8oo came out in ireland a week after i bought k750... Price was a bit high but w800 came with more memory so in a way price was the same... Now though here in irel. K750 nearly 40pc cheaper than w800, and i have not heard of any major pros of w800 justifying a much higher price - so, if where u live similar price diff. diff., buy k750 and a nice big memory stick(you can download w800 theme to give it aWalkman phone look). But that's me and ireland, and i'm on prepay! Also, check reviews here- there's bound to be s.o. who's actually owned both models (i'm certain there's a thread just about k750 v. W800). Well, good luck + nice meeting s.o. Here...
