The back is hideous but the front is not that bad I guess. Neo looks much better than this |

I'm liking the front but miss the dual-front design on the back. Then again, it is only a prototype that we are looking at there.

Adding more cores to the CPU is good, but at the same time it is just one part of the story. Hope these manufacturers will add multicore GPU's and dual channel RAMs instead of cramming more CPU cores. The dual core ecosystem is just beginning to mature. Apps are beginning to take advantage of the 2 cores, and 4 cores won't be necessary so soon. But unfortunately these guys would play the numbers game and consumers might prefer quad core CPU's irrespective of whether it has any advantage. Dual cores definitely had a huge performance gain over single cores when running android, but I don't see that happening anytime soon with quad cores compared to dual cores.(even in PC market, the early quad core processors didn't outperform their dual core counterparts by a huge margin, the margin was quite negligible simply because the software were not designed to take advantage of the 4 cores) It will only be good for marketing and pushing out more phones, unless you do video editing or autocad or frequent benchmarks and the like on your phone
But has been lagging a bit in the hardware dept., they should have released dual core phones a long time back. now that sony has taken over, I'm really excited. Sony has been known for delivering cutting edge hardware in their products. I think the entry of Sony would heat up the mobile hardware competition. I hope they would add multicore GPUs to their phones as in PS Vita and dual channel RAM as in Xperia Play and also market them well(or create awareness that the CPU isn't everything). I would pick a phone with a good dual core processor, a good dual core GPU and dual channel RAM over a phone with quad core processor, single GPU and single channel RAM right now |

Is it just me, or does that thing next to "Prototype" look almost like a xenon flash?
Too much wishful thinking?

this lower bar seems to be "special" both leaked designs show that its rather separated from the rest of the phone.
its probably also wishful thinking, but could this be a special loudspeaker(or even a mini subwoofer )

i think it looks weird. would say that maybe the white portion is detachable and only necessary for stereo sound or something but the front isn't all white like the back... in any case it's ugly

(Pepper) Someone made a good point in the comments on Xperia Blog, that the leaker may have purposely fitted a black battery cover on an otherwise white handset? This would make sense as well as the front around the screen is black, but this is the area of the screen and so would not change colour even if the rest of the phone was not black, like the white arc s
