It is a real a scandal that they fitted the ray with such a small screen ... I would expect it to be a minimum 42 inch   |

No screen on mini pro is wider but on ray its taller.

I just do not get this complains ... ray is for people that are ready to live with it's limits ... if you want a bigger screen buy the Arc or even 5.3 inch SG Note.
Lucky us that SE is not Apple and they have phones to fit all. |

So..... is it possible to install a previous version of firmware?
Seems to me, if I can just get v3.0 onto my Ray, then it'll record audio at an acceptable volume. It'll be mono, but I'd rather have high mono sound than low stereo sound. |

I have searched this thread and the rest of the forum, but I haven't found this question elsewhere: Has anyone noticed that the battery charging life is very poor? Mine has dropped to 75% in four hours from fully charged during the night. After disconnection of the charger, it has almost only been in standby mode. I know that the battery needs a number of recharge cycles before it reaches its peak capacity, but I find this really poor. |

Carphone Warehouse say that if you have a pay and go sim you have had for six months you can upgrade to the Xperia Ray for £199 which is does say in store. Nice.

It's rather hard to find, though. I bought it at Fnac but there are few stores (only Milano, Verona, Napoli, Firenze, Torino, Genova). You can try at Mediaworld and Unieuro (it's choke full of these stores all over the country) but not all their stores sell it yet
might grab one at Fnac in Milan.... Going by there tomorrow!

Yeah I saw that too ... but when it came to putting the sale through, the system didn't accept my details (my existing phone number I think). They put the phone aside for me and said they'd call back on Monday (I called in to the shop on a Saturday afternoon). I eventually called them back on Monday afternoon, and they said they couldn't honour the price, it was marked incorrectly and the actual price was £300, and £280 for a payg upgrade. I phoned another branch and they said £280 (after saying they needed my phone number to confirm price). All this despite a Ray on display in the first shop with a printed card next to it clearly saying £200 on payg upgrade. "It's a mistake" they said when I went in again and asked them about it. Very strange. I bought it anyway as I needed a new phone now, and because the price is OK compared to what's currently on the web, but it's poor practice to advertise one thing but charge another much higher price.

Any info whether the livesound headsets will be given for free with Xperia ray in INDIA? my local store dealer told no but i'd like to know whether you've some info regarding this... |
