C901 wont be available in the UK, operaters are just not intrested, because the C901 has recieved some very mixed and some quite negative responses from retailers SE have chosen to release the C901 in selected markets only.
I don't know what would be those negative responses. I just know that I'm waiting this phone since october, when I saw first time the spy shots of it. This phone would be a winner in the mid-range, because -in spite of it lacks the frontal video call camera (I don't understand why), and WiFi- in my opinion it has the best 5mp camera from Sony Ericsson with Xenon flash, with a really compact size. |

In Sweden the phone seem to be available at the end of May and will cost around 335 EUR (300 GBP). |

hmmm
why don't give the distributor some time.
maybe they're hesitating in releasing c901 bcoz they don't want the market share 4 c902 and k850 decreases.... |

This could be a reason, but Sony Ericsson already has many phones with exactly tha same spacifications, nearly tha same desing. (W705, W715, and probably the G705 too), (C902, W902). In these cases why doesn't they fear from this? And I think they could sell more C901 than C902 and K850 totally. Because it has better desing, xenon flash, and the image quality is far more better than C902's and K850's. |

this is what i mean.
maybe SE still got a pile of unsold k850 and c902..??
i'm sure they still change that pile into a profit.. |

i tried a demo ex yesterday, the keys (on the keypad) was hard to press, will probably get better after some weeks use.
the build quality was quite good, not c902 good, but fair enough.
the screen is a typical SE 2.2" TFT screen (K850, C702, etc), vivid and clear.
what i really WANT on next Cybershot... is Xenon + Photoflash, instead of Xenon + 3-point LED. (photo flash is way stronger and better then this crappy, weak 3-point(k850/c905) LED lamp. especially night-outdoor and BestPic)
ps.....tomorrow i will see if i can upload some pics we took inside the store

Photoflash is still just LED flash, isn't it? Just another name for the same thing you see on all other camphones.

PhotoFlash just way a bit better than usual LED. Just IMO.

HxH, you right, my K850 LED (or even my W810 LED) suxs so much compared to photo flash. I cant even use it outdoor at night with good result. (P.F. is ~3 times stronger then a ordinary LED...thats pretty much).
and yes, its still LED, (just a newer, more improved technique)
Like i said, hope next Cybershot Flagship use Xenon + Photoflash, should be awesome. (better BestPic & night - quality, etc)

C'mon dude... You can't compare photo(led)flash with xenon flash(a good)...
The c901 have good xenon and the image quality are light years ahead of many 5mpx cellphones...

I've seen that list too, approx. 3 times, but it always returned to the original version with just few coutries. It looks like an error... but who knows... in prototypes we have already seen additional languages (french, croatian, finnish) besides the list's countries'.
