after this new firmware update. i've getting application crashes showing this error.

KERN-EXEC, Reason number: 0 ???

longcuts gives me this all the time.
my tomtom doesnt even show up anymore, even after multiple installs and uninstalls. anyone having this issue. i know one other guy at howardforums having his im+ crashing.

I'm getting same kind of application errors from time to time. Closing all the applications or restarting the phone resolves it most of the time.

btw, I had a clean installation, not a backup one.
Forever !!!

1) speed dial

Nope, I get the name alright

Btw is it just me or did my phone got a little worse on the restarting issue with the new firmware

I never had a single reboot prior to this firmware and with the new one I got 3 times already

Once I had some5-6 apps open and the other time I guess on the USB?

And I saw that ppl complained about this as well - I think they screwed up something

Yes, they have a history of doing that...

Luckily I've not got round to debranding my phone yet, and still have R9G007. It hasn't crashed/rebooted in the 2 weeks I've owned it so far....

I have CDA 162024/92 R4A. Previous update I was able to update 6 days after WG, now it is already 2 weeks and SEUS tells me that I have the latest firmware. Does anyone have an idea as to when I will be able to update? I think that this is ridiculous I bought a phone from SonyEricsson at full price and I do not get all the benefits I am supposed to.

tis weird. They seem to be slow about getting this update out. That said its also probably because a few dialogues have changed here and there so they need to get local lagnuages etc done...

Use XS++ to switch to generic world. Thats what I did because my thai phone didnt have updates available

I can understand that local languages get a delay of three to four weeks. It is more difficult to accept that they release a firmware that is not compatible with the BB enterprise software; after all this is supposed to be also a business model

Just upgraded and here's a few changes I noticed:

Transitions: Yes we know 'something' is different, but some said they don't know what, it's just better. Actually, they sped transitions up a lot. So they animations happen much faster. Secondly, when transitions are on, and you are in a menu view, the selection doesn't slide from one menu to another [up and down], it just goes as though transitions is switched off. So far, after restoring a ton of appz, contacts, etc, there's no lag in transitions, unlike before.

Sound: The max volume to me seems to be the same, with the except of the volume slider. It seems they did what they had done with the M600i. The volume bar rises and lowers exponentially. What I mean by this, is supposed your volume is set to max. when you lower the volume bar to the middle, the sound is at about 20%, rather than 50%.

@sds
I get kernel errors also, don't remember the reason. So far, it happened with HandyWeather, but it was connecting to a bluetooth PAN network by accident, and it happened when I did things too too fast [usually in an app].

Must be a theme related issue then, though it happened with quite a few themes. I can see the pic but no text. not a deal breaker though

I have done upgrading my P1i with latest GW firmware. Beside every change that everyone noticed, I saw P1i supported IMAP email.

Anyone else?

Its quite simple mate, just follow these steps:

>dwnload XS++ 2.2

>tick smartphone connect and press connect, then do the usual to connect your fone (remove batt, sim, mem card, reinsert battery, hold 'C' and connect)

>once connected go to the GDFS menu on the bottom, and press backup GDFS, once completed dissconnect, remove and reinsert battery, and restart XS++

>connect again and once connected it should show a drop down menu with CDA versions, select P1 WG-1 and press run script, the process should only take a couple of mintues

>lastly, connect into SEUS, it should say that you have a new update available for your fone, start the update, once finished unplug fone and enjoy!
