 | @plankgatan Look at the background of the 2 pictures you posted and you can see the exposure is totally different. It is just ridiculous to compare this way. (furthermore, N95 default brightness setting is set at 50% and if I am not mistaken K850 is set at 100%. We have no idea what is the setting there and whether the light sensor has dimmed the screen. I also doubt the gsmarena reviewer intended for these 2 pictures to be used to compare screen brightness
  )
The picture which I posted came from this: http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=11607

and the reviewer have this to say:-

From several angles the screen looks decent, however it does not have the brightness of the N95 display due to the 16M colors of the Nokia family member.

 | well, even the screen is big, if the res is crap, then its useless... k800, k810 and k850 have gor nice screens ( far better then n95 for example ) but the res is crap, so when u zoom on a pic, its disappointing.
this is what i call a "screen", love it:

 "16 million ways to success
The 16 million colors TFT display of Nokia E60 is just incredible. The 352 x 416 pixels resolution makes it look great. Out of curiosity we compared it with 21” Samsung 214T desktop LCD high-end monitor with 1600 x 1200 pixels resolution. The colors of the two devices look exactly the same, but the phone display fits 9 times more pixels on the same surface. Of course, it looks much finer.

The display is very big and thus offers the users a better use of the phone. 35 x 41 mm are very impressive dimensions for a bar phone display. The backlighting of the display is also very good. It glows evenly in the dark and every part of the display is perfectly illuminated."

Oh man, I wasn't going to buy into this discussion anymore. Bugger it! I'm back in. It's too frustrating to watch this thread - it's falling apart everywhere. So much crap everywhere, totally off topic, and full of a sickening brand loyalty that just get's more ridiculous with each post.

Anyway, you wouldn't want a bigger screen on K850 as it seems the best way to view K850 images is to shrink them. So the smaller the screen - the better the viewing experience - or at least that's the impression I get from some of the idiotic arguments in this thread.

 | Back to topic then:

Another comparison picture to show how bad the of purple fringing of K850.

Compared to similar photo taken by N95. You can clearly see N95 cz lens perform much better than K850i

 http://mobilarena.hu/dl/rev/2007-09/1716/n956.jpg

Look at the K850i. It lacks so much detail that you can barely made out the face of the people because of the noise

Compare to the one from N95 where you can clear see the face.

This certain put to death the argument that K850 pict has more details.

Wow, not even shrinking can save that shot. see:

I definately noticed the purple fringing on quite a few K850 shots. No firmware update or software can fix that - it's all caused by the lens. Don't believe me - google it and see what you find.
