The helmets look like they are made out of a Snake-skin (anaconda) . . .

@ Jojo,
Thanks. Yeah, that white one sure isn't a standard Hayabusa colour scheme...
A few more Jap bike pics:
The 'business end' of the 2008 Kawasaki ZX10R:
In race trim already:
Non-standard spray job on this Yamaha R1, done in the old Yamaha racing colour 'block' scheme:
Suzuki B-King, with Hayabusa engine. Stock exhausts would be enough to get Batman salivating... :

@ama - Nice . . . just nice ! The : 2nd, 3rd and 5th uploads just appeared at par conisdering they were INDOOR-shots
Now, I fully know why you chose Kawa-brand over the rest . . . design/color/specs are just - incomparable (unless if to compare with some Italian Bikes - Ducati et al ) . . .
The design on the Yamaha R1 just reminds me of an old design very similar with their FZ-series in the 80's . . . 250 and 400 ccs

Keeping with the bike theme:
Triumph speed triple i believe, but i maybe wrong.
Also in the background of the second picture there is a Ferrari F430. Pictures aren't that great was in a rush to catch my plane...
Oh and also a modified Honda

@ 5nak3,
Yup, you're spot-on; that certainly is a Speed Triple. If you look closely on the tailpiece, you can just make out those words, just under the pillion's part of the seat.

Another few P1i show pics.
Charlie Boorman's BMW from The Long Way Down TV adventure series:
Actor Ewan McGregor and his intrepid best mate,Charlie Boorman, travelled on their BMW 1200cc motorbikes from John O'Groats, Scotland, to the most southern tip of Africa. (although it sez Cape Town on the sticker, which people would recognise more than Cape Agulhas).

A bit blurry, this one:
The cameraman's patched-up BMW, as it was after the adventure, with Boorman signing a kid's helmet on the right.

Personally I preferred the long way round to the long way down. Having said that I would have loved to be on that last leg of the journey with 100 or so other bikers. That must have been an awesome ride. |
