Hi everyone!
Here are two more screen shots from my TyTn II !
I particularly like the 'thin line' battery indicatoe at the top of the screen !

Thought I was sold on the iPhone - but this maybe changes my mind.
Was just wondering, which is the best network to get it on for 3g/hsdpa?
(coverage/data price plans)
I'm in Cumbria mostly but i do travel the uk frequently.
Cheers

t-mobile rarely fail me anywhere I go and they seem to have a high interest in hsdpa too. Also their web'n'walk deals are still unbeatable

Okay, so I finally have my V1615 (aka tytn II) and I'm scribbling away on it now via wifi - an innovation for me after the M600i - and I'm happy to say I'm impressed! Windows Mobile is smart and snappy, very fast after UIQ, and everything seems to work well.
The Vodafone branding is very light - for some reason the HTC home screen was turned off to begin with, but it's easy to put back in the settings. Aside from the Voda splash screen on startup, and the subtle printed logo, there's little other sign that this isn't a generic HTC handset.
It's too early for me to judge battery life, but it seems reasonable so far. Size and weight - well it's not the smallest but really not too bad, and no heavier than I expected. The keyboard's great!

I seem to have a small issue with the earpiece on my kaiser, and wanted to ask you guys for advice. Basically, during every phone call it sounds fuzzy. The only way I can describe it is like a speaker that has been slightly blown so that there is a fuzziness to the sound. From what I've read the call quality on this device is supposed to be superb so I can't imagine everyone puts up with this.
What do I do to get it looked at by HTC under warranty in the UK? |

Hi!
Quick yes or no question about Live Hotmail Checking..
Does Windows Live Hotmail checking, download attachments?
I am sure it does but just sent myself tests with a small picture attached, and, checked email, can't see the attachment, and it is not on the memory card!
Bit puzzled! Any advice appreciated....
Have been searching and now off to search more about this....
@dazbradbury The sound through my ear-piece sounds fine ! Quite clear !
Doesn't the 14 day rule apply if there is a problem? Just get a replacement ?

thanks for your quick reply masseur,
Does the email show a paper clip ?
I will send myself a test and check my Vodafone, and Hotmail now and see what they show...
edit - In the Mail Attachments folder on the memory card, I can see 4 files, with names like this one.
360000a5-3b0000a8
but with no extension. If I rename one of them to .jpg I still can't view what they are, but I get the feeling these are the jpg files that I attached to the emails.
I wonder if the Kaiser didn't synchronise correctly to the Hotmail server..?
edit - I copied these files to my PC and saw that the extension was .att so I renamed one to jpg and could view it...strange....

I have no idea what all that is about.
in mine, at the top of the message in the header is a paperclip with a filename. click the filename and the attachment is downloaded and viewed

Hi masseur,
I have no idea either...... In my Vodafone email, the attachment opens easily...
Just the hotmail.co.jp account.
I will re-check the settings, and I have a second hotmail account so I will check that.

it seems the attachment icon changes if I've read it but this will give you the idea of what I see

Thanks masseur,
I am sending myself a test to my with a hotmail.co.uk account!
I removed the Chinese/Japanese support and did a soft reset...
Then tried again with a document, text file and jpg picture, but I do not get any attachments downloading.
I can't see anywhere in messaging settings that gives me an idea about what is wrong..
This screen capture is with Vodafone UK, and shows two attachments, as in masseurs picture!
One is a photo, and the other a text file that is a terms and condtions message
' To view the terms under which this email is distributed, please go to www.blah.blah.com '
so clearly attachments work with Vodafones email.
I have tried 3 accounts for Hotmails. 2 are Japanese but one a UK
hotmail address.
The only thing I can think of is the reception is poor where I live, and downloads fail!!
So maybe I need to try again in the cty tomorrow !!!
