@ T68iKING
I've just received my w950i from O2 this morning, so they definitely have them in stock. |

Yeah, thanks for that. Should be getting mine thursday or friday - they say the "system" wont let me upgrade till then. Getting an ok deal: £10 p/m 125 mins, 500 texts (they're asking for £99, but i'll try get it for free) - dont need mins really - got a voda sim with 1000 mins and another 02 CPW and t-mobile (web) that i dont even have in a phone
Thanks for everyones replies on stock levels, think o2 just wanted me to wait till the 7th (upgrade date).
I'm then gonna decide between keeping my p990 or the w950... |

Looks like the Price of a W950 has halved over night on the O2 site - https://shop.o2.co.uk/phone/Sony_Ericsson/W950i
If I had just shelled out £129 for it I would be mightily cheesed off!

Is there a way to have the clock showing when the phone is in stand-by? |

This would be a useful function. I'm forever tapping my screen to make sure the thing is working! |

Isn't there a third party app that does this?

Haven't tried it personally though.

I got a Martin Fields screen protector for my W950i. I would definately recommend it, they are a little expensive at around £8-£10 but they are certainly the best screen protectors money can buy. |

Why do you say that? |

Tried the program - the screen still blanks out after the clock screensaver cuts in. Maybe SE will change it in the next firmware... |

hello,
have just spoken to SE and they have just told me that Orange, modify the shortcuts (acceptable) but they also remove ability to change your shortcuts (not-acceptable) i feel.
The reason i spoke with them was becasue i have set the alarm and the feature to turn it off doesn't exist, or at least is broken and they can only suggest doing a Master Reset or trying a Software Upgrade.
Apparently you should be able to add/remove the tick after going into Menu | Tools | Time against Alarm to do this, but it isn't working.
Has / Does anybody else seen this issue? (just so i know it isn't my phone but an orange issue)
thank you |

Thanks, I have just purchased the screen cover. I have downloaded a few utilities onto my phone. Has anyone else tried "doucuments to go" and if so do any one know of a serial number crack?
Also is it me or does sometimes the phone freeze up for 5 min for no reason ? |

@leyupab - I have tried *many* different brands of screen protectors for various devices over the years (Brando, NuShield, Boxwave and some cheap brands as well) but the Martin Fields ones have consistently been the best (for me) as far as clarity and ease of application. I am terrible at applying screen protectors but even I have managed to apply all of my Martin Fields protectors to various devices pretty well. Any small bubbles that are left seem to settle down themselves within a day.
I've used MF protectors on: K700i, W800i, PSP, Dell Axim PDA and most recently my W950i |

Hi again,
sorry but i've not long had this and am finding things can be set to off when i feel they should stay on.
Has anybody noticed that when using the Web, if you select More | Settings the Fill Screen option doesn't stay ticked (on | selected) and you have to set this every time?
i just thought / believed this would stay on | selected once chosen.
cheers again all
(hoping not a bug on orange branding exercise as note to self, never purchase branded phone again) |

Is there any way to use symbian uiq 3.0 in landscape mode. I know you can watch video, browse the web, view pics, all in landscape, but is there any way to view your homescreen and all menu's in landscape? I would have thought the hardware has the ability, as does symbian, so why isnt' there the option... I would even use an ugly hack to do this! Answers welcome. THanks |
