Just to keep you friends informed.

Mobilink a long time ago started advertising availability of EDGE network.

It is now finally operational in certain parts of Lahore but still not in all parts of Lahore. For example I get an EDGE network when I am on the upper mall near Jimkhana club but do not get an EDGE signal when I am in my office at the Mozang Road.

However when I am getting the EDGE network the connection speed is really fantastic. Previously with GPRS I could reach speeds of 40 kilo bits / second but now with EDGE I have managed even speeds as high as 180 kilo bits per second. This is really great. Since I have an Indigo postpaid connection so I am on a fixed unlimited data plan of Rs 500 per month no matter how much data you actually transfer.

Kind Regards

@aatuif and QVGA:

didnt we already start all over with mostly new players after the last world cup?

its a #$@%ing shame really.

i'm happy inzamam quit - to me he was the most undisciplined, most unfit and most indifferent player on the team, and yet they made him captain. thats just stupidity, but you already know that i'm sure.

Postpaid Unlimited GPRSes:

Hullo folks. Lets put up the prices at which different operators are offering unlimited GPRS on postpaid connections. I want to move over but don't have much info.

Mobilink: Rs. 500. But available only in very few selected cities.

Ufone: Rs. 650. Available everywhere. Comes with Umail package. Wonder if Umail is still active.

Warid: Someone told me its Rs. 600. But I'm not sure. Please confirm.

Telenor: No such package.

Lets please talk about this. [addsig]

@radarblip609:
the Unlimited GPRS Package for Warid costs 500 not 600. but gov. taxes are additional. I'm on Warid and have been seriously considering getting this recently since i tend to use the GPRS on my M600 like a maniac....

@korbindallis:
Black like my avatar .
as for the talk and standby time, well i get about 5 hours talk time on a full charge and the standby time is 3-4 days with light usage (this is on the latest firmware: R9EC). how much does it cost these days? i bought mine for 23,000 in the last week of January..

I seem content with the features K750 is offering. An almost replica of it is LG KG300. I haven't seen this LG physically ever. Can someone through some light on how the phone's menus are and I heard it seems a bit plasticky? [addsig]

@shuak: the gprs package is not available to normal customers. its available to corporate customers who are using the ufone's postpaid.
