CZECH REPUBLIC 0 - 2 ITALY
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4853358.stm
"The Czech Republic gave it a real go but Italy's first goal helped Lippi's men take command of the game and the longer it went the less likely it appeared that the Czechs would save themselves. Inzaghi's strike ended the contest and left looking forward to the next round while their opponents bow out."

GHANA 2 - 1 USA
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4853408.stm
"As has been the case in every game they played in Germany 2006, the US conceded up the game’s first goal. Although they managed to pull one back as they did against Italy, the scoreline did not stay level for long, and they just did not have the fire power to overturn another deficit."

JAPAN 1 - 4 BRAZIL
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4853416.stm
"Brazil’s samba football finally arrived in Germany with a superb second-half performance that dismantled Japan, earning the world champions an exciting last 16 clash against Ghana. Japan, who will fly home a little disappointed after their exertions four years ago, will rue the equalising goal conceded seconds before half-time."

CROATIA 2 - 2 AUSTRALIA
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4853428.stm
"Stuttgart played host to a night of unforgettable drama, where both sides could have progressed to the second round at different stages, but at the end it was Australia who were celebrating and heading to Kaiserslautern to face Italy on Monday."

Well actually three yellow cards and a red lol!
I saw that, the Croatians went a bit beserk at the end and it was if they were trying to get sent off because they were so angry and upset, three sending off's in total... Did you anyone see the referee's reaction when one of the Croatians grabbed him lmao.

Owen and Roony were heralded as the striker team. Only lasted two minutes.

that ref in Aust v Croatia game was shocking. The refs have something against us Aussies i think lol. Vs. Brazil they were crap and v Japan they gave them a goal when the goalie was obstructed. And how can you not no when some one has two yellow cards....
Ah well, at the end of the day theres nothing you can do about it so no point complaining... |

Well to be honest Ads...
The referee's throughout this tournament have been very poor, considering they are meant to be the best referee's in the world. The only one I have seen that has really been fair and done his job properly is the Japanese referee in the World Cup.

UKRAINE 1 - 0 TUNISIA
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4853454.stm
"Ukraine, though nowhere near as impressive as against Saudi Arabia, just did enough to edge this encounter and deservedly progress to the last 16. Tunisia, for all their endeavour, rarely troubled Shovkovskyi and will return home rueing the lapse in concentration from Jaidi that put paid to any hopes they might have harboured of stealing the three points they needed."
==
SAUDI ARABIA 0 - 1 SPAIN
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4853438.stm
"It was ultimately a deserved victory for Spain's second-string who were in control for almost the entire match but were wasteful in front of goal. Saudi Arabia had the game’s outstanding player in goalkeeper Zaid, who made a host of quality saves to prevent a landslide defeat. While Saudi Arabia head for home, Spain can look ahead to the knockout stage with confidence."

SWITZERLAND 2 - 0 SOUTH KOREA
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4853466.stm
"The win sees Switzerland through to the Round of 16 for the first time since 1994, where they will face a tough test against Ukraine. Brave Korea and their wonderful fans will sadly be heading for home as France’s win in the other group match against Togo sees Raymond Domenech's side through to the knockout stages as runners-up. They will square off against high-flying Spain."
==
TOGO 0 - 2 FRANCE
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4853462.stm
"France got the FIFA World Cup victory they have been waiting eight years for, meaning they finished as runners-up behind Switzerland in Group G and they will now face Spain in Hannover in the Round of 16 on Tuesday. Togo, beset by internal problems, head home after three straight defeats."

Well boba bad news for you. Germany is leading 2:zip in the half. But the Swedes have been scoring late in the past three games, so I suspect Germany has to hold them in the second half.
