K750i SEUS R1N035 update problems/potential solutions |

They did not wash their hands.
I'm sure there are some guys working night and day to get things right.
I'm a programmer too, and i hate when things go wrong.
The problem is most people don't know what programming is about and can't understand that there are so many things that can be affected with a minor change in code.
Just look at any other softwares on the market, they too have bugs. the problem is that this one happens to mess up the phone. bad luck.
And you always have the option to go to an SE service centre and get things right.

I updated mine and have not encountered any of the problems listed here. I have not done a master reset, as I did not think this was needed after an update, and it says it is a K750i not a W800i, but would this change if I did a reset. Mine is an Orange branded UK version, and was done I think before the weekend, so will mine be OK.

@Krubach
If your a programer than you know firmware code must be the cleanest possible, It is not the same as writting an application it is far more demanding....
I have absolutly no knowledge of programing but if I did I sure wouldnty cooock up like that....
Besides that companies they test retest andthen test again b4 they release some firmware...
About the guys working day and nite... Well it must be very short days and shorter nites....
3 days and SEUS still not ready??? what have they got??? Maybe been hacked...

I know what the programming is, near to perfection is the thing that makes such companies so successfull & if they're so unsure of things why don't they put a warning that this firmware might not be bug free as it's not being tested enough, what's beta testing for. Whatever they're working for day & night is for their own good more than us because they're highly paid for such work & you don't know how people spare such hafty amount of money for mobile phone & what is good when we're left for just an ordinary mobile phone without it's most enchanting feature. It's very easy for you to say that take it to SE service centre do you know it's not a trusted commodity in our part of world, they usually replace the parts of the mobile phone whenever we leave our phones with them. Everyone has the right to express his/her anger for the distress they've caused.
True love is a rare find so don't let it go once you get it by luck. |

Hi everyone,
I've searched Esato forums and also other forums for a problem I'm facing, but could not find a definite answer to it. When I try to use the SE update service, this error message appears:
"There is currently no service for devices belonging to your operator"
and then this:
"Your operator does not approve the use of this service with this device."
But I've used the update service a month ago to update to R1L, and I did the update successfully, but now I can't update the phone to R1N because of this error. Can anyone give an explanation to this? Is there anything wrong w/ my phone or operator, or is the SEUS not working these days?
Thanks....

Howdy. First time posting.
Ok. I just got a brand new K750i (as my last one was stolen last week, ugh). I checked my firmware, and it's R1L. I wanted to upgrade to R1N for the better picture quality, and the fact that my previous phone performed fabulously with it. When I started up the SEUS, it told me that there's no update for my operator's device. It's a completely unbranded unlocked K750i (I'm in the US). Here is the relevant info.
R1L002
...EU_1_CL
...
Customization
CDA102337/6 R5A
cxc 125953 R1L002
EMEA_6
Content version
PA19
My question is, was the error due to the current problems with SEUS, or are they CDA related to my phone? I did not find my particular CDA on the mobilefiles.com site list of CDA versions (although the 102337/6 with EMEA_6 is Generic, they don't have one with R5A).
Can someone please shed some light on this situation for me? Also, if my phone does have the wrong CDA region, which one should I pick so I can use SEUS in the future?
Thank you. |

@Leviath & samreen
If it is taking long, maybe they are doing what you say they didn't do properly: Test.
Perfect software doesn't exist. Period.
If you spend 3 months developing a software you can be sure you will spend another 2 correcting bugs, this is studied and accepted.
The problem is when bugs are the cathastrophic ones.
I'm not trying to excuse the guys, but i'm trying to explain that sh*t sometimes happens.
Plus, i'm still convinced it's not a firmware issue, but an updater application (the popup app that appears) issue.
