Here's a question can you use your cd drive as a shared folder on DC and kazaa? Thought about it on my way to work. Would give me more space on my hard drive. Ed

Bob - enjoy! I went on Air twice last time
Ed - I really don't think you want it spinning up and down every time someone tried to get something. That's if it were possible!
Morning all!

Oh well just a thought. Thinking i could have done it when on dc with some of the hubs damn 1 gig share limits. How cheap can u get an external hard drive for? All the ones i've seen are too expensive, may as well buy another pc. May aswell anyway as the processor is ancient. Ed

Chris, your font's gone all small!
Ed, just get a whole new PC. If you're going to spend £50 on a hard drive alone, you could spend £300-£400 on a new PC that will upgrade what you've got immensely. It won't be fancy, but it will be a huge step up. Just my two pence, anyway |

Thread's been quiet today... I take it Chris will be working hard tonight!
In answer to my own question - no you can't use the CDR as a shared folder.. Thinking about it it would never work as what if 5 people wanted to downlaod of the CD drive at the same time??
