i'm quite worried abt the memory issue of the T300. Let's say I have R1B... I master reset it completely. It should wipe out everything except for the pics right?
Now, if i have successfully done all that.... will a firmware upgrade screw it up for me? meaning, it will bring back those stuff to fill up my mem?
Come to think of it, the T68i also has this kind of memory management. You can delete the pics... but somehow they are still somewhere. I just tried... I have 494KB free... then i delete one of my MMS templates... it says Freed: 16KB Used 16KB... and my free mem is still 494KB. weird right?
If i remember correctly, when i delted those ugly pics on my t68i last time, i didn't free up much... can't remember how much though...
I dunno la....
Can you just give me a step by step solution to free up memory? The FW should be R1B when i get the phone... so is it advisable to master reset everything and upgrade or to upgrade first then master reset? You are the T300 veteran so help me out please!

yikes...i think u are really tempted to get it
if u are not sure....why not get ur gf's unit first then only get urs?the price won't increase for sure, maybe if u are lucky enough it will decrease a little when u buy ur 2nd unit
so far i have bought 2 units from them and 1 unit from a shop in Bangsar(more expensive in Bangsar (RM820...but what to do...deperate ma), usually i call them at around 12noon and then their boy delivered the T300 to my house around 5-6pm, was jumping around waiting for the guy to come..anxious for my first T300...hahaha
so far no probs la......the 1st unit after using 1 week..the dome switch dunno how messed up liao, keypad not responsive, so i took it straght to Ericserve..Jeffrey got me a replacement unit right after that..so as far as u are certain that the T300 is warrantied by T.choice, then u dun hav to worry about anything(always check the warranty card, p/s: pls ask them not to fill in the purchase date when u order your T300 thru phone...letting u decide how long u want ur warranty to last!)
About the 13 sec trick...i did it when my firmware was R1B, after that i upgraded my firmware to R1D and then R1F..so far after each upgrading, it didn't take up any of my free memory, so i assume that the predefined things didnt come back. Anyway my free memory is always maintained at only about 40KB since i have tonnes of pictures in the phone...ask ajack..he saw and he knows, he stole summore!!!hahaha....
I got around 800KB freed during my attempt with R1B...however the predefined pics and themes are still there, others MMS templates and Games gone...i did not try to delete those predefined pics after the 13sec trick coz i am well satisfied with my 800kb free memory
Here's a tip if u really wan some space and more practical ringtones:
Go download Anvil studio, and then truncate your midi file, leaving the 'loud part'/ chorus, transfer it to the T300....in this way the midi file will only be around 4-8kb compared to the original 40-50KB, summore u wont want a whole song to be the ringtone, as u know the starting of the song is very soft and then the caller will have to wait till the song comes to the loud part then only u will be able to hear the tone..haha

u know how to use the crack?
u must first install seleq to ur 7650, it;s something like windows explorer. so when u download apps in zip file, and inside for 2 files, eg *.sis and *.app, then the sis u can directly install from ur pc if u install already 7650 pc suite. after that u run seleq go to ur 7650 memory c:systemappsyourprogramname then replace with the supplied *.app file. then ur program cracked oledi.
but samething u must do when u first install the seleq.
u can install the apps/games directly form ur pc if the extension *.sis (with pc suite installed)
if *.jad or *.jar just beam it to the phone, and it will recieve in ur inbox. then go to the inbox, open it, and they will ask for install it, choose yes, then fo to the tools -->apps and there's ur apps installed.
veon18, is the con guy nik symbian? how u got the software from him? he sent the cd for u?

T300 ear piece so far so good? I didn't encounter any problem. Except the reception is not as good as T39.
I never did the 13second trick but I did master reset the phone once, it freed the memory to 780KB...ok for me.
The game loaded is nothign special coz you can delete all those mophun game and replace it with the one you like (can purchase thru game.mophun.com or download from SE site)
Only Erix cannot be deleted (Could be SE most addictive game)
Since T310 is coming around the corner....if you can wait for one month or two, then it is worthy since T310 offer the same features and new styling which could push T300 price further down.
IMHO, get the bundle with camera package since it is RM1200-1100...unless you already own one. |

Okay i'll do just that. The guy told me he has not sold a single original T300... all sold are watersets. Mmm if got 800KB plus also enough for me liao. hehehe.

nah, i dun have that much money to spend... if i had, i wuld buy a 2nd hand 7650... Coz if the camera is detachable (as in MCA-25) i will never bring it along wif me... as it is i already have all my pockets full! hehehehe
Anyway, the T310 is rather ugly... if same features then i won't bother.
Earpiece no problem? Cool... i think it's just some unlucky units... hopefully the ones i'm getting don't have any problem! My T68i had and still has some problems... the screen colour isn't even... got darker and lighter shades... changed once, but still the same... brighter though hehehe... keypad LEDs aren't even in colour.... one row (1-7) is greenish blue, 2-8 is blue and 3-9 is a more prominent blue. Weird right? SE Singapore didn't wanna fix the keypad coz they said it's no problem... sheesh... i'll fix everything again when my warranty's ending in July. Then i'll have something like a brand new phone then hehehehehe.

yea..the con guy is nik and alex..some self honoured 'masters of symbian thing' la.....i just met up with him, he brought his laptop and just beam it to me...but then b4 that he got put some code in la..he says it's the crack code for the T-mobile video recording and space doubler...did u managed to get both of the progs running from that site of urs...or they supplied to crack code for the two progs i mentioned??if so then kena conned man....but luckily not over RM100 la....coz i know some guys from buysell bought a bunch of software from him and some so called 'DISCOUNT PRICE' of RM200!
gil, Telstar says they never managed to sell any original T300??? Try asking for Alice and mention the name 'Chee' la..both the units i ordered from her
shithappens, will be in Legend Hotel having hi tea..come blue jack me la!haha..yesterday me in KLCC, saw this Malay guy buying a Mineral gray T68i from Dynacom....RM1399! Rich guy man, anyway i saw him very satisfied with the functions of the phone and then the blue LED caught my eye! BLUETOOTH on! I created a contact right after tat 'Good choice man choosing SE T68i', and then when i wanna bluejack him...can't find any bluetooth device around, i look up at saw that guy already gone! ceh...missed my 1st opportunty to blue jack with my brick!

Virawan, first you will have to create a contact first in your phone book, and type whatever you want to send on the name column, after that click options, go to send and then send via bluetooth, your phone will start searching for bluetooth device, don't need to discover, my bluetooth is always on,aka discoverable, always available for ppl to bluejack me. And really thanks for the marvellous site for the 7650 software. Gil, inform us when you get it ok? Wa... You actually wrote reviews for mobileburn? Haha!
