Get a Z3. It'll be cheap at this point now, and its a very good device. Waterproofing, above average camera, class-leading battery life etc.
While Z1 and Z3 have only a little bit different front camera quality I'm not interest on it. Z3+ have great front camera but it have heating issues. What the f**k have you done to your own product SONY ? |

But how is the performance? The 810 should be significantly faster than the 801 and if it barely beats it, clearly the reason why there is no overheating is the severe throttling. Any websites with new info about it not overheating? |

Yeah where's the evidence ? I don't care about performance that much. If it's not slower than my z1 then it's acceptable for me. |

Z3+ even with heavy throttling will be approximately on par with Z3 and will far surpass Z1.

The Z3+ performance shouldn't be compared to S801, that is aiming far too low, rather compare to S805 as that had the updated Krait450 cores and Adreno420 GPU, so compare it to Nexus 6, Moto Droid Max and Note 4. A phone with S810 should be performing significantly better than the 805 which was the best the Krait cores got up to.

Second part of Sony leaks released.there might be some mobile related info.i'm searching but i'm not very good at searching
http://www.engadget.com/2015/06/18/wikileaks-sony/
Sony Electronics is now combing the production request list and will shortly tell us what they can provide. Sony MOBILE has now provided us with the needed visuals of the new Z4 Phones. These phones are the planned phones for MAY/NOVEMBER of 2015
See how they say these phones?
https://wikileaks.org/sony/emails/emailid/141645
they might be old as i said i'm not a good digger but confirms november release
another email:Bond Phone: in black, 4.6”, delivered by 12/1, needs 6 units à hence Z3 Compact is the 1st candidate.

do you think that only the Z4 model has that over-over-overheating problem? |

i knew it.. but whatever it is, I'm taking my Z3, since price differences between Z3&Z3+ here is 250$..
back to topic..
I don't know, I just think that Sony will announce new flagships in MWC, there's no way they'll launch something in IFA since even the phones registered earlier in April, they could still reschedule it. I'm lucky to get my Z3 then..

Me too, I'm confused to death when choosing either Z3 or Z3+, just because of its front cam, but when heard that overheating thing, which even I discovered that thing with my old phone (not that severe heat), but thinking about that just makes me just want Z3, dump my dream about a great front cam phone and shinier look on Z3+

The new front cam and the exposed USB are nice additions to the Z3+ but otherwise not sure worth the upgrade, at least not for the current price.

This is what penguino is referring to, it is in Polish but I will summarize the main points, which is the reviewer kept receiving overheating and temperature warnings and it did heat up within a coupe of minutes. But the reviewer received a notification about an update to the OS which they downloaded.
He mentioned he has been only using the update OS for a a few hours or so and there is a significant difference when it comes to overheating. He states that after using the camera it is now warm versus hot as before. 4K recording he says is better, he recorded about 9:43 which was unthinkable before the update. His reasoning behind the better heat control is probably reduced performance of the SD810, ie throttling which was expected. Probably best to wait for this update to roll out to users once they have their phones and how benchmarks look versus the Z3 and etc. |

Looking back to the bond.pdf here are my thoughts,
1. 4th gen Z4 May release is correct.
2. Next gen is definitely coming in November.
3. Power button is the same on all concepts. Fingerprint sensor? No volume rockers, so they could be touch gestures?
4. Very narrow side bezels.
5. Tube concept falls in line with the Bravia Tv design.
6. Mono could be the name of the name of the UI.
7. Plate I can not tell. If it was only for the first picture I would say wireless charging plate.
8. Glass could mean glossy sides and mirror-like front screen. |

Yes I will just wait too look if the update can really fix this heating issues or not.
If yes I will get the Z3+ because I like it design and copper color. If not... of course the next gen flagship. |
