Seems useful. The quick filtering of messages and feeds looks to be a logical step and is also attractive. |

It may look visually different but I didnt see anything to get excited about.
I guess the main difference is the tight integration between online and offline media and how you can purchase songs from Playnow directly from the main window itself. Revolutionary? No. Good user experience? Yes.
With cellphone tech evolving at a breakneck pace, it's near impossible to find anything "Revolutionary" in phones anymore. |

Oh please, don't compare it with iPhone, we've been through this before. iPhone has been on market for almost 3 years! X10 is still not out. And iPhone does have 262,144 colors and multitouch and tons of apps (to name just few of the important things X10 will not have at launch). This is 2010, not 2007, much more is needed to gain market share now.

There's something called user experience. You wouldn't know what it is until you actually use this device. People have posted links earlier that shows reviewers being extremely impressed with the X10 in real life. One reviewer actually said he would replace his iPhone with the X10. THAT's what a good user experience can amount to. Pretty much the reason why the iPhone sells too.
In simpler words, all your huffing and puffing means jack shit.
Nerds like you go on and on about paper specs. But in the real world, super specced phones NEVER do well if they are not a pleasure to use. Phones like the Omnia HD, the Pixon12 and the Innov8 had great hardware specs, but did they outsell their strongest competitors? No. All the while, moderately specced phones like the Hero sell great. This is something the likes of you will never ever get.
Good luck finding that perfect device that does your dishes and leaves fresh underwear in your cupboard each morning. Let us know when you do, k? |

--i think Saka is right, SE should have better hardware own requirements, high end users follows the market and wants the best, and X10 as a high end smartphone it should have better spec than most, cos SE is a good company...
and there's sum stuff they should have, like EQ, im mean even cheap SE does, why not X10.
but i hope you guys are happy about the 3.5mm jack and usb charger...
SE should not accept ppl to say that the iPhone is better than the X10, a 3 yr old phone?
They should take enough time to make sure they are happy and pleased with the phone b4 releasing

In 2010, NOTHING does everything better than all of its competition. Neither would anything in 2030. There would always be something that does one or two things better than the competition.

I think justus33 is right: If you guys really have such a strong desire to bicker couldn't you just PM or mail eachother and leave the forum clear for actual info.
Let's face it both sides have a point.
The iPhone is pretty poorly spec'd but feel an looks nice/shiny and the UI is very intuitive, a combination of this and strong support from iPod and Apple die-hards, plus the ubiquity of it's ads and apps means it has sold really well. But having used one recently, and remember I use an iMac, there is certainly a case of the Emperor's new clothes to me re: the iPhone. The only thing that really felt that much nicer was the web browsing, which with Opera Mini 4.2 my C905 comes pretty close to in usability. I have to say that compared to the N82 I had to endure for four months, the C905 and even my K800 was much more user-friendly, and I have never had any real issues with their quality/duarability. Particularly helpful as I run a Mac was the avilability of FW updates OTA, so I didn't have to run the Nokia PC software.
It has been said by a number of people elsewhere in this thread, but there is never really a device which can be all things to all people, and there is always going to be something newer around the corner.. It could always be better, but it might not. At the moment of all of the firm announcements the X10 represents to me the best combination of good hardware and UI, in particular the Camera with the hot and firm keys...
Please guys, if the Mods aren't going to keep this threa OT can't we try and do it ourselves?
