TBH with you guy 13mp on XZ1 is not really good at all.

Yes I'm a bit curious here as well. I have both XZ and XZ1 and on XZ it does better job ... !?

Those are fake baked in hdr from ages ago, not hdr10, Dolby vision nor hlg hdr you get from 4k tvs or uhd bluray from recent years. Real time hdr capture is huge deal for me, but not without 4k screen. They speak of phone designed for entrainment + hdr content contents available but new products can't even view them in full quality. |

Hmm f2 still is a shame, especially when most manufacturers are using brighter lenses. Granted none are 1/2.3 sensors but still.
Also no 4k at 60fps. Tsk tsk tsk insiders 
Also gsmarena says that the software on the new phones is quite buggy stills and crashed a lot.
Guess 4k@60fps is being saved for the dual camera device. Same probably for the 51200 iso.

Guys s8 has very small bezels yet it has 8 mp selfie shooter thats quite capable....
Sony still has the biggest bezels among flagships and they still say that they dont have enough space to accomodate the front cam... its real bs coming from sony |

LCD's bezels are harder than OLED. Sony still uses LCD while Samsung can do even almost bezel less with OLED.

8mp is the min acceptable size because that is basically 4k picture. Anything lower is terrible and need to upscale mirroring to a 4ktv. Honestly both phones felt like they are regression than progression. Beside newer SoC and real time hdr capture, everything looks lame as shit compare to xz premium. Just give me a xzp with updated camera and SoC. |

As a Sony fan I'm really disappointed. I was going to get it despite the lack of headphone jack but....the 5 MP FF and the same F 2.0 lens on the back? It's f**ked up to be honest. Damn I really wanted to like this. God knows how long I should wait for the 4K phone. |

It's not bad at all for something that does not compete with Samsung and Apple but nonetheless dissappointing.
This is the first time I felt like Sony would better off focus on their camera sensor business than the mobile because this is not going to bring them anywhere. |
