If sony were going to use exynos then i'm sure we would hear about it already.
sony delaying main flag to their own press conference after it in 2015 - not likely.
the exxxx were posted a month after hiyu wrote what he wrote.
i'm talking about announcements, not launch.

Last but not least, will they upgrade Z4 Tablet UI so we'll see screen splitting feature? |

I am not talking about their own press conference, the models could easily be unveiled using a press release with a hard launch in January. As for exynos, like I said unlikely, but at the time being it would be the better chip than the SD810 as things currently stand.
We have just a little over 2.5 months before IFA, if no devices leak between now and the press conference, it could be things have been delayed. |

I think '-XYZ' explained it fairly well. Samsung doesn't have too many of free Exynoses. Plus they probably don't want to help their competitors. |

^I think it's already well known that the SD810 is overheating as hell. Even Sony admitted it. If you want people to visit that georgian side then please share the link in the right thread and not in the rumors section. This will be much appreciated. Kind regards, Johnny. |

A scenario where sony announce a new line of flags in a non event (not at ifa and mwc and not in the less likely ces or their own) in just unrealistic imo. won't happen afaic, unless they want to shoot themselves. we are not talking about negligible low-mid range devices.
I'm sure we will get some leaks about a month before ifa. there is plenty of time until september announcement. plus, sony is good at keeping secrets. |

^^ Announcing any new flagsjip at IFA makes no sense. First - Z3+ is too fresh. Second - SD810 is going to kill every device it's installed in. |

I no longer believe in a new flagship handset from Sony at IFA.
As you said the Xperia Z3+ is too fresh.
You can always hope for an Ultra version with ultra specs or a compact version with Snapdragon 808.
I would be completely fine with compact "just" having Snapdragon 808 and Full HD in 4.7 inch display.

they should have skipped the Z4/Z3+ and went with a new ultra honestly due to this S810 shit show. The original Ultra spread heat much more effectively than Z1 or any other Z phones because of the size. Unless Z4 tablet also have heat problem, a new Z ultra flagship with s180 that doesn't have these issue would have been much more appealing package than the current train wreck. |

While I agree with you Gitaroo, I feel the markets which do not have the Z3+ will need some kind of a new flagship. I am unaware of the heat situation on the z4 tab, I the larger surface area might help with the heat dissipation but until more people get their hands on one, I have not seen anything yet. |

Welcome to sonymobile world. what does not make sense for some make sense to sony.  first of all, there are 3 devices in the works, not just main. they won't announce ultra and compact at ifa and leave the main device to a later announcement date in 2015 and they are not likely to announce anything new with a flag tag on it in a non event form. so either they would announce it (the main) at ifa or not at all in 2015. i believe 1 year flag will start from q2 launch with ifa main one (may or may not) filling the gap until then. this is my educated conclusion.
all sources aside of huyi mention q4 main device announcement. believe it or not.
again, we are talking about sony and their 6 month flags and with 2015 being "mostly a transition year" another flag announcement at ifa is not far fetched in sony land.

Since those 3 devices are closely related and should come out at pretty much the same time o it doesn't change anything - we won't see any of 3 flagships at IFA. Sources mentioning about Q4 announcement are not talking about IFA because it's in September (Q3).

I hope Sony won't make another flagships for a couple of markets that weren't important (sorry) enough to get the Z3+.
Z4 Tablet gets warm and that's it which is quite good for such thin device. Benchmark results are excellent.

Actually there are 5 devices to be launched at least according to the leaked model numbers
E55xx - Lavender
E56xx - ???
E58xx - Next compact?
E66xx - New flagship?
E68xx - New Phablet?
We've seen the lavender model and it is a mid range device, I feel it might be the T4 ultra, unless the E56xx is the T4 ultra? |
