@edwardob,
this is most likely because the file sizes are bigger now. my 5mp shots went from 1.5mb to 2mb with this new driver |

Alexins, can you fix the manual shutter speed?
I'll try to do it, but do not promise that I can do it fast. Not enough free time.
thanks alexins
if I now set a MANUAL ISO level in your new driver, I can no longer use the EV control to adjust the exposure level.
this is a very big problem with your driver.
I hope you can figure out how this was broken in you changes.
thanks again for your efforts here |

@jake20: Else, alexins's mod driver is good?
Will alexins's mod driver in Manual Shutter Mode work for AUTO (iso) settings (or requires to set Manual ISO)?

@Bryan84,
I like the images that Alexin's modded driver produce a lot.
But it also looks like his changes have broken the functionality of the "Manual Shutter" option.
Manual shutter has no effect now when tying to use it to get slow shutter speeds for low light shots, even when in AUTO ISO.
If he can fix this, then I think this driver may be the best yet.
I am also still testing some more with it.

doing a little more testing today with Alexin's modified DM3.8 driver..
It definitely looks like Alexins cranked up the color saturation in this mod. For the most part the results are very nice, but depending on the colors of the subject you are shooting, the over saturation can be a bit much.
Here are some more shots..
what do you think, is the color saturation too high?
I'd like to also get Brazzuka's and Raiderski's opinion here as they are the resident "active" camera modding experts.
here are some outdoor shots.. i am liking this driver a lot i think.. if we can just fix the manual shutter speed, and get a manual color saturation option. i would be totally satisfied.

Alexins:
I don't know if this only happens with my C905, but i don't think so...
When i set to manual focus, and chanve the EV value, the image stops like 0.3seconds, and if i am recording a movie it is a litle booring because it brokes the image...
Tell me that this is not only my C905 problem and try to figure this out please... |

Yeah those shots you took above seems to be overly saturated.
Is there any difference between the en.lng Alexins's provided and the original DM3.8's one?

Is it normal for my photo to be like so black when I set manual shutter speed to -2.0 (on the ev+/-) or I am doing something wrong?
Picture #1
Exposure time: 1/3200 sec
Exposure bias: -2 step (this -2 was for the manual shutter speed to work right?)
ISO speed: ISO-400 (was set as AUTO)
Picture #2
Exposure time: 1/20 sec
Exposure bias: +2 step
ISO speed: ISO-64 (was set as AUTO)

@bryan84
you have it backwards.. -2 is for a fast shutter and will let less light in (dark picture).. +2.0 will make shutter time longer, and let more light in.
