True Hobbster. I certainly hope so. It's been a long time comin'. Was just thinking, they could always change their name from the Proteas to another type of plant/flower, like, say for example, the Artichokes...

Lol, Hobbs, as long as you're happy with your set up, the custom ROMs are great but they made me realise how i much required and like a working camera and camcoder and all the little SE tweaks and additions, stock Android just feels too empty, so i'll be waiting for that Arc port to completed, but if the devs can get both full 8MP and HD720p video in their camera software i'll jump on a custom ROM.

Tsepz ja lets hope they do eventually get the whole camera department working fully.it is such a waste having a phone
with great camera capabilities that you cant use.I read one of those phone magazines at cna and they had a 25 point test
featuring all the top smartphones and quess what...they never even had the X10 in the mix. They included the X8 and the X10 Mini
which against the big boys did a dismal job.
It was atrocious. The X10 range got creamed by the likes
of the iPhone 4,HTC,Samsung and Motorola range.N8 didnt do to well either.
HTC Desire suprisingly is still a force to be reckoned with.

That realy sucks, but it does seem as though the X10 has been discontinued atleast i dont see it on the Elite Mobile site, and havent seen it on any of the latest network catalogues so maybe that's why they left it out? IMO, it easily out guns the Desire, but not the DesireHD.

oh why oh why is Froyo so good

Trip has got the camera taking pics at 8MP high quality, still have to use Videocam Illusion though, but was enough for me to jump, 2.1's annoyances began to show, and it wasn't pretty, nothing more embarrassing than your gigantic 1GHz smartphone taking a century to open contacts/dialer, when she asked "why's it taking so long?" I went speechless, I could kill SE for not releasing Froyo

tsepz ha ha ha ha knew it.you cant run from this speed.
my average benchmarks are between 1300 and 1500.
didnt even bother taking a benchmark with se 2.1.
just knew it would make me cry.
my other upgrade is due in 4 days.
cant believe im not in the least interested.
im goin g to terminate it.
love my x10.
i wouldnt worry about se not releasing froyo.the samsung
galaxy running gingerbread only pulls 998 with quadrant.
it most probably wouldnt have been that good
with all the shit se put on top.
freex10 beta has 8mp as default.cant change it.the
pics i took yesterday look really good.i could ohnestly say
they are better quality than what i used to get with the
se cam.
hope geohot is working on this bugger.i dont have much
hope with the xda devs.its almost been a year and they are
still bamboozled.
another thing he has to motivate him is sticking it to se.want him to crack it
before the arc hits and he gets one of those and forgets about the x10.

Hobbs, the speed is just too good, it's refreshing to be running Froyo again, you were spot on. I haven't even done quadrant yet, I'm going to install the Data2SD mod apparently with that Quadrant scores of upto 2600 are possible .
You're skipping an upgrade ??? Now that is a first lol, aren't you even tempted to give WP7 a go? I'm loving the X10 to, nothing really of interest especially when Android isn't completely capable of taking full advantage of dual-core CPUs yet. Hopefully next year when we upgrade there will be some mind blowing hardware and software.
