Hey Hobbster, have you heard that new Crystal Castles song called 'I'm Not In Love', featuring Robert Smith of all people :
It's getting plenty of airtime on the radio stations hear, that's for sure.

Yeah methinks we'll be hearing Robert Smith's vocals in rave clubs more frequently now, LOL.

Speaking of both Wish and Disintegration Hobbster, I made a CD of 'assembly music', which I play when the kids walk in and out of assembly. Out of the twelve-odd songs on there, there's 2 tracks of The Cure on there, one is Plainsong (1st track) from Disintegration and 'To Wish Impossible Things' from the 'Wish' album.
I've also got that Rob D 'Clubbed To Death' song from The Matrix soundtrack (also used for the Hugo Boss TV ads here) on there, at least one Massive Attack track on there, plus some stuff by a Sikh digital artist/muso, called Talvin Singh. Check out his album 'Ha!' and others. Unique blend of Indian (Punjabi)-techno crossover.

One of his many bass-driven tracks:

Here's another link to one of the songs on youtube, called 'Sway Of The Verses'. The song builds up for nearly 3 bloody minutes, with the atmosheric vocals, then tabla drums etc, before the techno drum n' bass kicks in halfway through the song...yeah it's a long into.

There's other tracks like 'Jaan' etc on youtube as well:

It won't be everyone's cup of tea, but the predominantly Indian/Pakistani/Bengali/Sri Lankan kids and support staff in the school relate to it well.

I'm done with both SE & Nokia. Both make good hardware with sh!t software and support, i wish i had known the Samsung Galaxy-S was going to be a good phone i could have waited, i like my X10 but being stuck on 2.1 with not even a fully stable custom ROM from XDA was never part of the plan, with Android being open my "Plan B" if SE ditch was to throw in a custom ROM but that doesnt look like it's gona happen, my next smartphone will be a Sammy or Moto.

On the brightside we have the update with the sort of "multitouch" coming up, but im realy not impressed with SE, they are still as arrogant as ever, i hope whatever Samsung&HTC have planned for MWC trumps the Arc in every way, we already have the Moto ATRIX, Sammy and Htc must just finish them off, SE should be sleeping with the fishes come 2013. That's how i feel, lol.

@ Tsepz:

Have you seen this(taken from The Register)?:

'South African wireless traffic lights pillaged by SIM-card thieves

Don't stop at the lights unless you want free phone calls

Posted in Crime, 6th January 2011 14:28 GMT

The Johannesburg Road Agency is in talks with suppliers to try and stop thieves targeting its shiny new traffic lights for the SIM cards they contain.

The Agency has been forking out thousands of rand on phone calls the thieves subsequently make using the snaffled SIMs.

Thulani Makhubela, spokesman for the JRA, said: “The JRA has been severely affected with this crime and this now means we have to fork out more money on something that we should not have spent a cent on.”

Makubela said the agency was now cancelling the SIMs stolen from the GPRS units inside some of the traffic lights and working with Johannesburg police to stop the traffic light thefts. Ordinary lights have not been targeted by the gangs – although there were some thefts of traffic light poles last year for their scrap value.

The spokesman said the JRA was also in talks with suppliers to make the lights' components more secure.

He told the Guardian the attacks were "systematic and co-ordinated" and thieves knew which lights to attack and "clearly have information".

Four hundred out of 600 SIM-equipped traffic lights have been hit in the last three months and it will cost R8.8m (£838,000) to replace missing components and repair them.'

Wanqa, gota love SA, the thieves clearly had insider info, as it always is with crime here.
Hobbs, indeed, atleast apps/games are being made for 2.1 and up so we wont miss out, but 2.2's speed increases would have been appreciated.
