I am not sure that I am qualified to talk about processors in details. But I think it is said that the Pentium M thingies are supposed to be more durable. However, the Centrinos come with some wireless connectivity (bluetooth or wi-fi?) built-in.
Please ask the hardware experts b4 I commit a gaffe

That makes 3 of us gunning for a laptop. Mamba wants one too.
Funny, but I am not as choosy concerning laptops as I am with my smartphones, so I really have no specific one in mind. However, I know I would love one with Bluetooth built-in. Besides that, give me any good laptop.

This one has a p4 with hyperthreading and will be able to run 64 bit(a bit of dubious future proofing among other things) software when it comes.
It is really a desktop replacement for me and then useful if I want to do the odd presentation.
Its just to find the money now...

@ AYA, thanx 4 the info. @ adeprince , welcome on board - talking 'bout the machines, u got me confufed with ur lexus n skoda analogy by also saying Pentium is the topdog so which is lexus n which is skoda. I also know about the wi-fi stuff and i'm of the impression that the Centrino is better. @ coolapostle, I think we shld say shame to Glo or their "Techies"

if ur pc ,laptop or notebook has got usb ports, then you can use bluetooth dongles for all sort of connections .

@adeprince: Yes; I am aware of HTC and the many hybrids it produces. Interesting marketing strategy too.
I just wish the CDMA networks in Naija would allow subscribers purchase handsets of their choice - and I'd crossover to CDMA for internet access. I am particularly interested in Starcomms. As it is for now, you are stuck with whatever they give you.
