We all know SE provides excellent screens and even if it is lower spec'd, they sometimes outperform supposedly better screens on paper. So, I for one, am not the least bit worried. If it looks good, it looks good. Who cares what the numbers say?

Right... one random picture vs. a long history of quality screens.... i'll take my chances.

The ppl who will complain about X10 screen will be the ones that already had a phone with Amoled screen, like myself.
For those who never had then X10 maybe perfect...
So once you go for a good amoled you dont wanna go back to TFT

what if current AMOLED technology still cannot avoid the short life span?
OLED tech is focusing on ways to get their life span ...in particular for the blue color be longer.... |

Wow, the screen on that Samsung really does look stunning. But yeah, I'm sure the X10 screen will look plenty fine to me. I for one still can't wait for the X10 to be released.....especially the NAM version!

The only time I would say hallelujah to Amoled display if they are actually readable (viewable) under the sun. But for now, they're just pretty under artificial light condition. |

why I feel like the UI in X10 mini is better than X10 ?
Is it possible to change the UI in X10 ? so that we can have X10 mini UI in X10.

I'm sure it's because of the light sensor - the screen of X2 has gone darker. I'm not going to convice you - if you don't like SE, you might go into the deepest hole to find evidences.
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |

That picture definitely isn't one to form an opinion on the basis of.. The Xperia is it an X@ is kind of blurry/out of focus and seems to be in shade compared to the Samsung handset. Which does look quite nice btw, what is it?
However in all of the most recent vids and photos from MWC the X10 screen certainly looks good enough for me, never had an AMOLED, and we know the number of colours will be resolved by the upgrade. Due sometime this year. On balance, the X10 still looks like the best all-rounder for me. Love the cam UI.
And whilst I take the point that it isn't out yet... I do feel that the footage from MWC shows close enough t what will be the released device, hopefully before the end of March. As a lot of the things it is being compared to are at a much earlier planning stage, I still think on release it will be the best specd handset, other than Android version, to be available. |

The phone on the picture is the new Samsung Wave with Super AMOLED screen, i think.
And yes this new AMOLED is realy nice. But if you compare the Screen of the X10 with a normal AMOLED like Omnia HD i think there wont be a big difference.

Ive had Pixon12 and N86 which both had Amoleds and believe me im not all that happy once i took them outdoors. I have to shield my phone or find a shade just to have a better view of the display. So these whole Amoled talk weren't the one im crazy of. |

@titus1 Satio and omnia hd screen have almost the same performance under sunlight (and its not that bad). And without much sunlight you will preffer omnia hd screen every day of the week.
All the touchscreen phones i had have this problem except p800. You will only find big differences if you compare to a TFT non touchscreen |

But if X10 screen will be very different from Satio screen (have the same performance as non touchscreens) , than i will maybe preffer it over amoled.... but only then |
