I thought Innov8 are able to shoot at ISO 1600. If it's never used in auto-mode, what's the point then?
I'm dissappointed too, because many people read Eldar reviews... Eldar brings not too good campaign for C905...
If only most people see Virgile's pic... It beaten Innov8's color to the brim.
And Virgile's also using auto mode, with additional proper white balance... It doesn't take so much time and effort to set a white balance, isn't it?
At least, why professional reviewer like Eldar doesn't take a pic with steady hand? Both of them looks blurry... Most of night pics are out of focus... Better to set night pics to infinite focus...
And I didn't believe that C905 took a crap video quality like that... Even K850 and C902 has better video quality... Nonsense...

Don't tell me that pic was made in total darkness?
If so the flash should be something special... Anyway, I will buy the C905 btw. I am addicted to bigger phones these days...

Eldar's and Marcus pictures looks different because of different approach. this is still the same phone, I don't see any lies only some weak photos because of boring subjects, poor skills and poor knowledge of camera abilities. if you guys take a look to other reviews by Eldar you'll find the same poor quality of pictures

That's the point I was making too. Auto settings doesn't mean you trust the camera 100% everytime to produce a perfect picture all on it's own, it's nonsense. I have never seen camera reviews before where the pictures are made up of the throwaways everyone gets when snapping. It's just poor representation. With Auto Settings you still take your time to get the right focus and balance, not just take one shot and accept it. It's auto so you don't have to set it all up everytime. Then it's up to your balance, steadiness and your eye. Auto isn't there to get the perfect picture everytime without any effort from the photographer.
And I didn't believe that C905 took a crap video quality like that... Even K850 and C905 has better video quality...
You lost me there though

Does anyone know if SE has introduced PIN locking of the phone on the C905 (NOT to be confused with start-up pin, rather time-out key-lock with PIN unlock)? This is pretty much the only thing that's holding me from being able to receive corporate email via ActiveSync - the Exchange server can't push the PIN lock-out policy to the K850 so I can't access my email. This is a very fundamental security feature in a corporate environment so without that ability, the ActiveSync function is next to useless.
If anyone has any info on this I'd appreciate hearing it (either way). |

People, a point and shot camera it must be just that ! Point and Shot ! While the handfull of freaks among us does not mind fiddling with controls after 'pointing' and before 'shooting', the vast majority of users do mind ! It is exactly in this point where the k850 failed and it looks like the c905 will go the same route. We all laughed about Plankgatan's obsession with his k850 pic quality, the truth is the k850i takes stunning pics if you have the time and bother to set it up properly ! On the other hand the n95 auto mode works like a charm and if one looks at the nr. of units sold, the buyers have voted with their wallets With so many dismissals and scaling downs, it looks like SE is on a very tight budged. A pity they can't sort out the fw. They are destroying a otherwise perfect hardware.

For a 2 or 3MP camera phone I would agree one hundred percent with you mario. However for a 8MP top of the line camera phone, marketed for it's photographic abilities, the large percentage of buyers are interested in a camera that is more than just point and shoot. Something that has flexibility and manual adjustments onboard.
The innov8 is a multimedia smartphone that just happens to have a good camera. The C905 is a feature phone that's all about the camera. The camera is it's main purpose. So it's more understandable that you have to actually USE the camera as opposed to just point shoot and pray.

@marty,
I mean C902
I was sleepy when posting that
@mario,
Yes K850 needs proper settings, but I thought C902 already good when it comes to point and shoot. Just ask every C902 users here. All they did is only daylight white balance, no more further settings
That's why I have some positive feelings for C905. The problem with Eldar is, he have a shaky hands...

yes, many of both the innov and c905 shots could have been a lot sharper if only the camera was held steadier.

Eldar specifically stated in the review that he had taken 1000 test shots with the innov8 and 500 shots with the c905. I guess, we can infer who the better point and shoot cam is. |

I forgot to mention that the bigger xenon flash in C905 is fantastic(look at the frame picture, almost everything was finely illuminated). now if ever eldar would have test C905's flash vs N82.
@raidersky: i didn't find innov8 pics better in terms of colors(too dark) C905 seems to have the K750/K800 color quality which is imo better.
and now, after all those eldar bashing of C905 exmor camera being mediocre over innov8's, what is his stand now after this review which proves that both phones will came into a draw once their cams are compared head to head. Eldar is highly unreliable now in his conclusions.
