@wanqs

That picure was interesting I must say.

Congratulations on it.

@Tsepz_GP

No I haven't heard or read about my favourite car manufacturer's problems.
To be honest though, I'm not that surprised that they also have recalls. Seems almost everyone has some sort of recalls recently.

My favourite supercar manufacturer (Porsche) suffered the same fate not long ago recalling the butt ugly Panamera for breaks problems.

Something tells me these recalls (from all the affected manufacturers) are 70 percent cost cutting related than mechanical.

By the way guys, I installed Opera 5.01 four days ago on my P1 after I was highly disappointed by version 5 and I must say this new version is a mighty huge improvement, it's almost as if it is a complete overhaul. No slowdowns, only occassional (very minor and negligible) lags here and there.

All I can say is it is truly brilliant now and I'm happy and satisfied.

Ya they seem to require quite a bit of patience and luck lol, i attempted a few with the K850 when i was in CPT last december and they were all a disaster lol, th X10 has made me want to expirament more with the camera, it takes some stunning macro shots, so far they are boring though lol, gona attempt to take more "lively" ones when im on holiday.

We share the same fav car and supercar manufacturers. That makes sense, they all trying to take shortcuts to cut costs and now its comeback to bite them. Im starting to warm up to the Panamera, there are so many of them around Jhb, pretty sure i spotted atleast 5 last week, seems to be quite an expected success for Porsche, what i REALY hate is their new Cayenne, it looks awful, looks like something built by Lexus at the back and yet it also seems to be popular spotted quitd a lot of them as well, think if i had the cash i'd pick the BMW X5-M over the new Cayenne Turbo and save myself the grief of walking into the garage everyday and realising i blew over 1mill on something that looks like it rolled off Toyota's production line.
Yep, Opera Mini5.01 is awesome, i just hate how it always this tendency to run of memory and make me reload a page, why cant it use the phones RAM instead of its own limited mem? Its a bit frustrating as ill load Engadget, RickyCadden's blog and maybe HowardForums, the phone will have well over 130mb RAM but Opera will run out of its own mem.

You cracked me up on the Cayenne. I agree, it is the ugliest SUV ever! I don't like the Panamera at all, if it wasn't for the Cayenne I'd rate it as the ugliest Porsche. The car I've warmed up to is the X6- I used to hate the back of this car! It made me think of the infamous Bangle butt. Now, however, I like the car.

I always tell my brother that if I was rich my garages would consist of the following cars: Porsche GT3 RS for
my supercar thrill, 2011 Range Rover (not the Sport/Supercharged) for special occassions, 2011 BMW M5 for irritating the owners of the AUDI A6 RS and Merc E 63 AMG, BMW X6 M just to be brash, Toyota Corrola 1.6 just for petrol saving or maybe that other electric/hybrid Toyota (forgot the name) and lastly the Nissan Navara Double Cab for those days when you need a solid workhorse.

I would add the Bugatti Veryon in there but that would be pushing it too far and proclaiming 'Look at me, I'm super rich!'. The Porsche GT3 RS says that in a nice and subdued manner.

I don't like Ferraris or Lambos, they are just too much in your face for me.

Ditto on Opera's RAM issues, I also hate when I have to reload a page.

Ah yes the ol' Bangle butt took some to get used to but i eventualy loved the styling of the old 7series and 6series, they have such a big presence about them lol.
Lol thought you'd eventualy like it, its one mean looking thing, and that engine *drools*.
That would be one hell of a garage i'd have 4cars: the Porsche 911 GT2 for track days, BMW M3 for everyday, Mini John Cooper Works for those days when i just want to drive like a lunatic, and a BMW X6-M for the days where i want to just be a manice to anyone in my way, my X6-M would be black, with black rims, tinted windows and numberplate: TRY ME-GP.
Yah, the Ferraris and Lambos are way too flashy, they look great but meh...Although i do have a lil thing for front engined Ferraris, it all started with that gorgeous 550 Maranello, then the 612 Scaglietti and now the California, they are just so beautiful yet not too in-your-face.
Oh yah, that 2011 Range Rover you mentioned in your list is a stunner, amazing how they've kept that design looking good amongst all these curvy newbies, i wish the Q7 would vanish off this planet...

A black X6 M with black rims and tinted windows sounds menacing already. Adding the TRY ME GP is enough to scare any challenge. There's a lady around my area driving a white X6 with black rims and it looks stunning. I've never liked a white but a white X6 M with black rims and tinted windows would be my ideal SAV or SUV if you prefer.

The Scaglietti is the pick of the bunch for me in the Ferraris you mentioned. That is a beauty.

By the way, I read a comparison among the following cars Mercedes SLS AMG, Ferrari 458, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Aston Martin and the Audi R8 on Car and Driver. I won't spoil the fun for you by revealing the results but if you have time go read it. There is also the upcoming BMW 6 in there and it looks unbelievable. The new BMW design language is to my liking. I'm also loving the BMW Grand Coupe Concept that is also to be put into production next year.

I will definetly keep an eye out for that mag! Im pretty sure the Porsche owned them all in terms of handling lol, hope im right
That reminds me, Top Gear did a shoot-out between the Merc S65 AMG and the new BMW 760Li, lets just say "Joy" owned cant remember much as i saw like a month ago, but that nem 760 is a beast.
Loving that Grand Coupe to, looking forward to the new 6, i wish they would make an M-Division of the 5series GT lol, its one nasty looking thing but with a good body kit, 4exhaust pipes at the back coupled with that 4L twin-turbo V8 from the X6, it would be one sweet station wagon lol.

My bad, the 'Car and Driver' is the web version.

If there is one area I will hand to Merc is in the S-class, they are giving BMW a run for their money and often come out tops in pure luxury.

I also think the GT is ugly but a well made car.

I like the Alpina tuned 7s, they are monsters. The 2011 BMW B7 completely trashes the S65 AMG. I wonder why the M division don't make an M7 since they broke their own rule of not making an M version of the SAV/SUVs with the X6 M and X5 M.

Yah gee Alpina make some beasts, what will ALWAYS stun me without a doubt is Brabus, just when you think AMG have gone bonkers and put ridiculous amounts of power in a Merc, Brabus take it even further, i cant even begin to imagine what they could possibly do to the SLS lol.
Maybe the M division dont want to take that classy look the 7series has, i wish they would make a M7 to, throw in twin turbos in that 6.0l V12, and a mean body kit.
Was at the tiny Engen petrol garage along Main RD yesterday when i had heard one loud roaring engine, looked at the rear-view and what seems to be the previous M5 is actualy a heavily modded 540i, you should have heard this thing,it sounded like some American Muscle car, and it was being driven by this lil blonde woman, all of us were just like and when she pulled out she revved it up and pulled off with a bit of wheel spin, it was absolutely jaw dropping lol, it just had the M5 bodykit and thick Pirellis, didnt look like it was that modified until you hear that engine.

Eish, got to wait a month before us X10 users can have it, no thanks to SE delaying that update cant wait to try it out, as Opera Mini is starting to annoy me a little.

Brabus are scary tuners and I mean that literally. Those guys can kill you with their tuning. They remind me of Merc's Black series AMG cars- absolutely absurd! As long as Brabus and AMG don't strike a balance between pure power and finesse I will not be impressed. I'll take Audi anytime over Merc if I had to exclude BMW.

Yeah, some women drive 'manly' cars, I am actually wondering what was done to that 5 series' engine she drove.

Hmmm... 6l, V12 on the M7 sounds like something I would buy, if I had over a mil sitting around

Watching Ignition and saw the upcoming 6 and I still think it is a beauty. Also saw the old BMW 3.0 CSL, I think it was a late 70's model and it looked so hot in that retro look, if it was a woman it would be Beyonce, Halle Berry, Naomi Campbell all rolled into one. Loved it!
