Hey y'all!

Was at Vodashop today and almost walked out with the X10. Tha damn phone is still a looker and tempting but I had to hold back.

Looks like I will wait till Q1 next year to see what interesting device is coming.

Well done Dups for restraining yourself.I walked passed it while looking for a phone for someone else and was in there a week later walking out with it.Even though I knew it had a older OS and no multi touch it didnt matter. It just looked so appealing to me and to Tsepz as well with the way things went. Its a lovely phone.

Just been playing around on a Blackberry Curve 8520.Its very basic but shit its the cutest thing.I love the small size and tiny QWERTY keyboard. If I wanted a phone phone just for calls, sms's,emails and some simple web browsing (no 3G just EDGE) I'd get the 8520.

Ya Hobbs, the Blackberries offer nothing interesting other than their call, text, email and occassional web surfing unless you know little in the way of smartphones.

My 9700 is really no different from the Curve and I got bored of it rather too quickly. I quite like its looks though.

Anyway, I noticed the Sony Ericsson X2 at the Vodashop branch I was at, that was the first time I saw it in SA and was surprised cause I thought since Vodafone is part of Vodacom and the former dumped the phone before its release the latter would follow suit.

Yah neh, you're strong Dups, i simply cant keep my hands off my X10, it just looks and feels so good, hope i feel the same way a year from now
Updated the 3GS and installed Opera Mini, so far so good, my poor mother had to live with a buggy phone for a while as 4.0 was quite buggy, phone would freeze after a call or reboot sometimes, 4.1 seems to have corrected that, and she realy likes Opera Mini, alot faster than Mobile Safari, signal still sucks though compared the X10.
Dups, did you hear about the Ferrari Italia recall? Apparently a few have randomly burst into flames while being driven due to some design errors in the wheel arch, check here: http://topgear.com/uk/car-news/ferrari-458-italia-recall 1st time i hear about a supercar recall

Damn!

For such expensive supercars to burst in flames is scary and to an extent dissappointing.

I once read an article on Top Gear's site about a Ferrari that caught fire inexplicably but dismissed as an accident. Now we know there are serious underlying problems.

The fact that Bada is 'limited' to Samsung makes me feel that it may not gain the kind of universal foothold to survive the smartphone platform arena for years on end...but in the same breath (or post), I read this earlier today:

http://www.gsmarena.com/samsu[....]ed_by_wave_users-news-1931.php

I'm with the Hobbster with this one; I'll er.. 'wave' the latter Samsung offering goodbye.

Looks cool Wangs except for that QWERTY.Im not into QWERTY keyboards at the moment.

Tsepz Just updated to R2BA026 just because my phone kept on telling me about an update is available. Now when Eclair does finally come I will know that the update SEUS or PC Companion are talking about is the big one.

Tsepz Wrong.Ive now got the latest software installed and its still telling me New version available. Its ridiculous. So when Eclair does come how the hell are we going to know its the big one when you got this annoying flipping Update notification when youve got the latest.
