I miss not having the integrated timescape widget on the main screen, with the Arc at present you can only have either FB, Twitter, Messages not a combination of both, which seems a little strange. I liked the X10 widget which basically showed everything (email, FB, messages, etc).
Are you sure?
when you select timescape widget you see this:
Then if you select "timescape" you have a combination of everything

As usual I must have had a shitty one cos mine was terrible. The whole casing would creak if clutched & battery door was not a good fit.I could feel quite a bit of give underneath the battery door where I could tap it & hear it knock the battery
Weird, the Arc I have does not flex at all, so no creaking. Battery cover is a perfect it. Was yours a prototype or something? Maybe the battery cover was defective from the mould and was the cause of the problem?
A prototype?? WTF?? Come on,it was sold to me for £419 I still think it's a great phone but for that price it's longevity is questionable

If you start the timescape app and go to settings, it allows you to set which feeds you want to show (also applies to the widget). I added the timescape linkedin component, but that slows the phone down and every now and then crashes the top bar, so I turned it off again.

Uninstalled ADW.Launcher EX yesterday, and battery preformance is improved that sucks. ARC launcher is okey but not nice looking.

I've read that the Timescape widget plays a major role in battery drain... Maybe people can test it out and see how much they get out of the battery without the widget...
Anything that automatically syncs plays a major role in battery drain. One need to be careful how the sync parameters are configured. |

Quick question guys, does the arc come with google maps preinstalled, ie the map data already there ?

oooh I can upgrade early and get the Arc at a cost of £30 £30 month contract, 600mins, unlimited txts and 500MB of mobile internet and webmail which is better than my current £25 month contract as I only get 300mins & unlimited txt, not that I actually use all if any of my mins a month
Now if the lady will let her man splash out £30 rather than wait 2months hehehe |

So there's no pre installed maps there downloaded as you go ?

That'll be as standard on Android then... Think its only HTC who have gone the preinstalled route... |
