Cumon man, some of us are still on S60,lol... Glad you like it.you gotta love the 3.5mm jack...

Lol,sorry about that bro, to be fair S60 pawns android at multitasking at the moment. I'm having abit of a hard time managing running tasks, some are just doing their own thing lol.
How's the Satio treating you?

Haha funny thing whilest writting this reply I found the HTC/defaut Android one and now typing is a lot easier the SE one is awful, found myself hitting ethe wrong keys most of the time, it felt so cramped.

Now that is disappointing that Android multitasking ain't all that. My next phone is definitely Android and multitasking play a huge role in my day-to-day phone use.

I have no issues with multitasking with UIQ.

What sort of issues are you experiencing with multitasking?

Everything seems to be under control now BUT certain apps simply shutdown when left running for a while, another problem is that there's simply no Exit button on most appa so you have to go and kill whatever you've been running. Overall I'm happy, all the issues I have are what most have when they 1st get an Android, eveything else is just excellent, apps are of great quality, some will even suggest other apps to improve the user experience with that app e.g Dolphin suggested an app that backs up bookmarks, when I clicked get the app it took me straight to that apps page in Android Market it aso has allowed me to set Dolphin as the defaut browser. Customizability is just top notch, there's so much you can do in general, lol, I have no idea where to begin, there's just so much.
Going to try update via SEUS later.
By the way call volume is quite low, not a big deal to me as I do a lot more SMS-ing but ye if you spend a lot of time on calls it will get really annoying

I'm loving this phone, signal is WAY better than it was on the 5800, their antennas are at the same place, but the X10 gets signal in places the 5800 would totaly lose it, I'm even able to use 3G/HSDPA Only without it fluctuating and completely dropping al the bars.
Forgot to mention how big this thing is,its going to take a while to adjust to holding a phone this wide, but otherwise it feels comfortable in hand, got a see through cover on it which makes it easier to grip.

Good to know you are enjoying the phone. Except the old OS version and maybe multitouch SE have done themselves a lot of good with this phone. It can only get better from here.

Sometime this quarter the X10 becomes a new phone in that it will have HD recording along with version 2.1.

Indeed Dups. A huge leap from my last SE. The UI is just so smooth and fluid, not a single freeze or reboot, everything just works well, and its an absolute speed deamon compared to the 5800, for example when in the app manager there's only a very slight delay when opening other than that installing and deleting is done instantly.
I'm also getting used to the Android keyboard, actually enjoying it, the word suggestion feature is just genius, all I can say is you can't go wrong with Andoid no matter which one you get when you upgrade, just make sure it has a large display and is on a Snapdragon CPU.

For sure Tsepz_GP, anything less than a Snapdragon is a no no.

I would love an OMAP processor at 1ghz than a Snapdragon one but if my next phone has a Snapdragon processor at 1ghz or more then it's fine.

Yes, should I go for a full touch phone then it has to be a 4'' screen or more and nothing less than 4''.

However, should a 3'' screen phone with a P1i-like QWERTY keypad and Android then I will forgo the 4'' or 5'' screen full touch phone.

It looks like you were right, Motorola looks the likely candidate to give me a P1i-like phone. Their new Charm is a P1i but too short and too wide. So, maybe they are working on a normal sized type of phone.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Haha, it's all good...

Tsepz
Well it's still good, I actually realized that I don't do much with it, take pics, facebook, sms & calls, radio & music and that's about it. So it's pretty aduaqate seeing that i don't require alot from it. I still like the N8 though... But I smaak that huge x10 screen...

Ye OMAP would be better, I wish they had used that as its incredible at graphics acceleration, the Snapdragon handles them pretty well though ,games are at PSP quality, downloaded quite a lot, they range from 2mb to over 50mb.
Gola
That's really good then as long as it suits your needs that's what matters . Really like the N8 to but after I had given it much thought and coupled with my experience on the 5800 I realised that Symbian is no longer suited for me especially for web browsing and social networking.
Lol,sweet pic! who's X10? got the same cover I got, can't decide whether to keep it on though as it kinda kills the look of the phone.

I have no idea Hobbs, im so tempted to flash it, I'll wait another week then try find a tutorial for flashing it. By the way have you tried SwiftKey? Far better than the built-in keyboards had an issue with the space key on the others, everything seemd to be well placed in this one though, are you using any Task killer on yours? If you are give System Panel a try it allows grouped killing of tasks e.g inactive tasks, very useful.

Tsepz and Hobbs:

Guys, I can highly recommend flashing and rooting on the X10. I debranded to the O2 German firmware for a bit then to the R2BA023 generic rooted which is great. It's like I have a different phone now.....

Just shout if you need any pointers on how to do it.
I have also tried just about every bit of software that has been recommended on different forums so I can give you tips on which app is best for "xyz" if you need any tips. I am a huge X10 fan, the only issue for me is the in-call volume (which is getting better with newer firmware) and my battery which sometimes overheats and kills the phone. I have noticed some film of liquid underneath the battery which might have been battery acid or just condensation.....I am hoping it is the latter!
