This is turning out to be the best World Cup ever! I'm still looking forward to more surprises, like Spain playing their last match today. I really don't see them going anywhere.
Definitely the pick of the day is Brazil vs Portugal, looking forward to that one.
By the way Hobbs, when do you expect to get the new X10 software update? Was checking the improvements over at XDA and it looks like the phone has been given a good update. It is apparently speedier, call volume and clarity improved and the battery life significantly improved.
I'm sure by the time it receives 2.1 it will be excellent.

Wangs
Nice macro shot bud.
Dups
Checked with the Update Software on my phone and nothing yet. Will wait a week or two and if nothing comes update it via other means. Some of the reported changes sound really good so far especially the better batteryife and screen responsiveness.
Saw on GSMArena that google have released the official Froyo firmware to all brands and networks to start working on the non-Google phones.
Sony Ericsson have a great chance here to start competing again if they can work 24/7 around the clock.get 2.1 out ASAP and then 2.2 not long afterwards.
I see iPhone4 has a few minor screen and reception problems.Lets hope those get sorted out and its not widespread just certain faulty units.
Spain are looking good.
England/Germany.Best clash of the lot.Cant wait.Hope England pull that one through.

Thanks guys. Yeah it's not everyday that one sees a stag beetle, a female one in this case.
@ Hobbster:
Yeah, Ghana did bloody well. Even in their match against Germany, they came close to scoring several times.
I hope England pull it off today, but I just can't see it happening against Germany. Having said that, this world cup has been full of surprises already..

Yay!
Go Ghana!! Unfortunately they face Uruguay next which means I can only cheer one team. Sorry Uruguay but I'm with Ghana on this one.
I also thought the Ghanaians played wonderfully especially in the first half. They need to tighten up a lot better at the back and a little in midfield cause they made silly mistakes a few times during the match and got away with them. Against the likes of Argentina they may rue those mishaps.
Go England, only for the Germany match, after that they should also be knocked out

All acadmeic now, Germany have run rings around them, particularly with the counter-attacks.
"They goooiing home, they're goooiiing home
They're goooing... England's going home..."
Eish, I feel for the loyal travelling supporters. Poor sods having to drown their sorrows in Bloem of all places (LOL). Had a chance to make a few thousand bucks with accommodation at all, rhino?

Ya wanqs, that disallowed goal was another one of the many woes the referees have inflicted on a lot of teams.
However, looking at the game itself, the English were no match for a powerful and youthful German team. The Germans were so swift and decisive in their attack, not as accomplished in defence but they were simply ruthless going on the offensive.
As for me, I got what I wanted but the other way round. Now I need someone to beat the intimidating Germans. Hopefully the Argentines will do that for me.

Yup, it was a no-contest of sorts, Dups.
Argentina are on a roll, but I find Maradona's antics as a 'coach' irksome. Oh well, if it works for the team, so be it, I guess.

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly with you on Maradona! I wish he wasn't associated with the team but...
I suppose you're also right that his obnoxious attitude works for the team cause they look odds on to lift the trophy unless the Germans and the Dutch have something to do to derail them.
