Yeah, and X10 update is not due until the end of the Q4!
And it will still miss the Halo's AMOLED, Divx/Xvid support, HD recording, flash, front camera, FM radio with RDS, projector, dual speaker and DLNA. |

later this year, yes, end of q4 though, dont know where you read that.
Amoled - Not going to argue bout Amoled again. not an issue for me
Divx/Xvid - dont use it. i prefer not to watch videos on such a small screen. (Even if it is 4") Should be a 3rd party app for it some where to support it anyway
hd recording - yeah not much of an advantage. theres always vivaz for that
flash - ah, the x10 has a flash
front cam - who actually uses it? I dont know one person who does
fm radio - dont see why it was left out but personally dont care for it
projector - yeah, ummmm...
dual speakers - is it a phone or a boom box
dlna - doesnt the x10 have DLNA?
those things you listed arent deal breakers for me...
ill be buying an x10 or vivaz/vivaz pro as they fit my needs perfectly.

End of Q4? Gee, really?
How did you arrive at this awesome conclusion of "End of Q4" from a statement that says "Before the end of the year"?
You can go buy that pig of a handset called Halo for all I care bu I can assure ya, 9/10 people in the real world would find something like the X10 more appealing. If the Wave had Android, we would have been on to something. |

Listen to yourself. You sound just like iPhone fanatics. If their phone misses something NOBODY needs it anyway.

"Before the end of the year" means end of the year in SE world. Haven't you learned that by now?

im simply stating some reasons/facts/questions. no need to get your 'nickers in a twist'
seriously though some of those features really arent of importance. but its all down to the user, so why you are reacting that way i have no idea. if thas what YOU like, well... great. i hope you make the right decision in purchasing your next phone
i could write a paragraph in response to your comment. but im no fanboy so i wont bother. would just turn into another rediculous debate.
at the end of the day, i simply choose a product which suits my needs. i dont need to discuss/argue it with anyone. At the end of the day, its my own decision. Not anyone elses so dont really care what they think.

Yes, yes! and I'll be buying my WP7 device from SE and no one else.
Seriously, as someone in the CG industry and a fan of minimalism and iconography, i can totally identify with that UI design. Everything else has just become yesterday's news. |

Can we take it we will not hear anymore complaints from certain members about people going off topic here now
WP7 nice but not enough info yet, and I think we may well be a way from seeing the first devices yet.

I only disagree on front video call camera.
It's a shame that it is not on this model. |

Dear all,
A couple of points that I would take issue with in recent posts. I agree that many of the features of the currently VaporWare Halo aren't necessarily ones that I would use.. Certainly I think I have had a forward facing camera on at least two or three phones and have never used it... Nor do I know anyone who has.
Judged against currently available, or even soon to be available handsets the X10 has at least comparable if not the best HW specs on paper. How these are usd and applied we remain to see. As I have said before I am not a fanboy of any one company, I run an iMac because that was easily the best fit for me. However I have never wanted an iPhone, and it has never had the best Hardware currently available. Yes the UI is good, as I said in an earlier post I used a friends one over the New Year and the web-browsing was good. However most of the sites I really use on the phone like BBC or Hotmail are optimised for mobile anyway, and those tat aren't have the wrinkles taken out by the excellent Opera Mini 4.2. However my friend did rather enviously say, on more than one occasion, well that seems to be more of a camera really and yes it is... I do have access to DSLR within the family, but 90% of the time I use the C905 and the DSLR can't shoot video at all.
So in conclusion the X10 is an evolution, the cam I love with a great OS and hopefully a top-notch Touchscreen UI. It is the best mixture of the features that I want in a phone. I don't really want an FM Radio, I have an adaptor for my iPod, which I've never used as that, just gives me a better remote. The posting of the Halo specs was a little mischievous and only supposed to illustrate that other Handsets have really WOW features in them like the DLP..How good or useful it will be is anyones guess. OK sorry rant over but really guys why get personal and trash each other, this is supposed to be a [i]discussion[i] forum isn't it?
More generally, did anyone see tonight's Gadget show, amazed that Layar 3.0 won their best app, they are normaly iPhone freaks. Also interested that the HTC HD2 beat both Nexus and Milestone too. Also pleased to see BUMP - bu.mp coming to Android too. It's slowly on the rise guys. |

poor SE..... even Dell won't use 1.6 Android Dell mini will ship with sth "new" (WM7 or A2.1)
pooor SE ....
And as i had predicted a few months ago and some "kids" now i hope they can understand... WM7 is on the way, new iphone is on the way, and we are talking about q2 2010 MAX ....
Android x10 with A1.6 seems like an old crap now .. that SE spent hundred of prototypes for testing.. but once again they failed...

That's just stupid. X10 won't seem like old crap just because WM7 is coming or that Android 2.1 is out, and who uses Dell??? |
