looks like no one is interested for the Cebit. But i think this Cebit could be another surprise from SE?

badassman,
with reference to Idou, what do you mean by "quite large"? from the size comparison, seems smaller than the iphone in two dimensions and only slightly larger in the 3rd.
would it be pocket friendly? |

I hope we can expect reese and X? for cebit. Imo a midrange touch device from SE would sell great

Considering the last two CeBITs have been single phone announcements, and low/mid end at that, I wouldn't get your hopes up for CeBIT.

Right, but we miss some phones which were expected for mwc and maybe SE doesn't want to do it old school...Change! |

I am fine with just 1 phone at CeBit or even NONE! We've all said (some even complained) that SE just copy/pastes too much. Well this time they are reducing their portfolio to fewer quality phones rather than quantity.
I say good for them. Though it would be nice if we heard some more about Idou

Well, mostly you're right...but idou alone won't bring the success which SE need. A touch-only device (with a "normal" price) and reese aren't copy-paste.

@Moogoo
To me it seems quite thick but its a matter of opinion since I'm not a particularly big guy. Its like the X1, small in general but quite thick. The screen dominates but to text on it will be quite slow unless you are an iPhone pro.
I have been told that the UI is easy to use but lets say that the UI is made to edit MS Word documents, it would be very difficult to change things without a stylus or qwerty. I understand that Idou is no business phone but I was always hoping that a Symbain smartphone should come from like the old UIQ so from what I have been told, they would have to either modify heavily or add a qwerty and stylus.
I've been looking out for a dual-sliding phone, I did once see a plastic case a bit like the Nokia types (a matchbox basically) but not a peep since. It did look odd as it it could swivel or slide down or something. Maybe Reese swivels which is why the d-pad is on the same level as the qwerty. |

Copied from my post at USEB:
Sony Ericsson W64S Now Available… To The World!
Sony Ericsson’s W64S has been availabe under Japanese operator AU for a while now, but only to Japanese customers. Previously, AU phones never worked outside of Japan unless you are a customer and subscriber of AU’s mobile phone service in Japan. Well it looks like that is beginning to all change. Rather new, a few tech geeks managed to create an unlock for the Sony Ericsson W64S, as shown above. This unlock, still in the preliminary stages, does not require an external hypersim and is said to be “99.9% stable and perfect.” A few business owners have managed to get a hold of this and are now beginning to sell unlocked Sony Ericsson W64S.

And the best part is you totally skipped the news of SE advancing the game market by evolving the java ME platform to the java FX. That there is something important not keitai phones becoming availible. |

Can someone (with inside knowledge) confirm/deny that the P1 design is dead? I love my P1 and would LOVE a S/F P2/P3 or whatever it is to be called. Like I ponted before they could fully utilise the dead space between the screen and keypad to make it a 2.8" with the relevant specs and I'm sold. At this stage I'm not too keen on a fully fledged touch-screen phone a la 'Idou'/Iphone/Omnia, etc.
