Hi muppetmovie,
Not too sure what to believe here as i cannot believe that O2 fell for that. The W800i is a 2.5G phone and "3" would never offer such deals.Well done if it is true.but i doubt it !! |

o2 customer services and most mobile phone reps don't actually have a clue about mobile phones or anything related so I would believe it!

Hi haribofan2
Haven't you read the previous 17 pages of this discussion? The whole point is trying to get a great deal from O2, i.e. to pay less money than your existing contract, to get a free upgrade, to receive more minutes and texts than at present and all at the expense of an alleged threat to move to '3'.
I read here about so many others doing it that when my contract was up for renewal I decided to go for a bigger slice of the pie, so to speak. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, etc. Also, no one else was going to do it for me so I ventured and I gained big time.
The W800i has been superseded of course now by the W900i mainly so I reckoned I had a better chance of getting the former for free.
It's your choice to believe me or not, I couldn't care less one way or the other. When is your contract up for renewal? - try it yourself. Some have been unsuccessful but an awful lot have been very successful; I was lucky I guess. Then again all I did was pick up the phone, rang O2 and TRIED having stuck pretty much to the 'script' that others kindly shared in the previous 17 pages of this discussion.
24 hours after ordering the W800i it has arrived. They told me it would be 3 to 5 days!!!! It's charging now and on initial handling it feels very solid indeed.

Just got a cracking deal on a couple of mobile/PDA's if anyone wants one. Its the o2 XDA mini S, o2 started selling them last month. Sim free they retail for £450 each and this offer over 12 month contract works out at approx £400 for 2 handsets, the offer is minimum 2 handsets. I recieved mine last week and are the dogs bo**ocks. They're selling on ebay for about £340.00ish, where my spare is going
Its the o2 best for business deal, £13.99 per month + VAT for a 12 month contract, no minutes or texts but there is other tariffs, but if you want, like me, use your existing sim and forget about the other 2.

Just got a w800i for 50 quid after they tried to charge me 70
and 200mins and 500txt for 15quid a month which is much better than my current deal which is like 50mins and 200txt for 20quid a month so that’s a pretty good i reckon. I would of pushed for the phone for free if i had of known how much they are prepared to bend over for ya lol.
Didn’t read this forum till after i had got me deal though but still I haven’t got me phone 5working days they said and that was 2weeks ago on sat :/
Think it all depends who u get on the phone if u get like a middle aged women that probably is up to scratch on her targets it much harder this women i spoke to was saying i would have to pay 25quid for that deal i got above and 50 for the phone lol so I left it and then tried to leave again and got a young lad and he was like OFCOURSE U CAN HAVE THAT DEAL SIR lol

Maybe someone can advise me.
I am with O2 online on their lowest tariff (Online 50). My average spend is about £21 a month.
I wanted to upgrade to the k750i as they are offering it for free on the £19 a month tariff to new customers on their website.
I was put through to retentions and after initially saying it would be £80, they still want me to pay £30 for the handset. They just would not budge.
What am I doing wrong?! They have seen I am a low user so won't treat me as well as a new customer.
Any suggestions as to how I can get the upgrade to K750i for free or won't they do this? |

o2 have started charging for there handsets, before upgrading was automatically free but it seem most people are having to pay something for the handset, inless you are regarded as a high spender, still receiving a £15pm you cannot complaining paying £50 for a handset. |

I have just been offered on upgrade a XDA Exec for £219.99 and they are offering to take £10 off my bill every month as well making my bill £9 a month. I personally think that is a good deal. The best way of getting a better upgrade is to ask for your PAC code and tell them you want to go to another network.

well its been nearly 12 months since most of us got the 15 - 20 quid deals on O2 so time for an upgrade Has anyone managed to get any good upgrade deals on these bargain tarriffs? I am led to believe they wont offer you the latest phones as upgrade on this contract. |

the deal that this thread talks about is via O2 directly. I don't think O2 offer the Nokia 8800 directly |

O2 wont budge!
They've offered me 500 mins (anytime any network) and 200 texts for £20 a month with a free W810i but I don't know how to make them provide me with more
The T-Mobile Flext 35 still looks more promising..
Are there any other methods of getting a better deal?
Edit: They've offered me 750xnet minutes and 350 texts for £20 a month with a free W810i or if I phone back on the 15th of May I could get me a Nokia N80 or N91 for free also

Quick question I'm on an online contract, I pay £25 a month and aparantly I have no set term contract. I only got the sim, no phone however if after 12 months I call up and say I want my pac code you think they'll offer me a free phone? I don't mind how much i'm paying and the minutes I get (1000 x-net, and 1000 texts) I'd just like a p990i towards the end of the year/start of next year

i dont think they will, becuase u have no set minimum contract time you could just leave after you get ur phone. they dont offer any upgrades on the sim-only offers as far as i know |
