Thanks ThreeX!
Are you sure vodafone sweden those not brand their v3 razr with menus etc? Need to know then i might buy one and simply unlock to save me some job on changing language.
One more question concerning phonebook, is there a way to in an SE way have contacts with multiple numbers not showing as many contacts with the same namn. And be able to set picture and ringtone for that contact and all his numbers? |

ALL officially imported V3´s in Sweden are Vodafone locked but not branded in any way.
As for the phonebook, you can only assign pictures to contacts in phone, not on SIM. I copied all contacts to phone and deleted the SIM-contacts. To get "SE-like" sorting Choose:
Telefonbok
Meny
Telefonboksinställning
Visa:Bild
Sortera efter: Namn
Visa: Huvudkontakter
One advantage the Moto has over SE is that you can choose a contact and add more numbers as you please, ie one person can have three home numbers and four mobile if you want

To Xitac.
Go see www.webhallen.se they have the Moto V3 unlocked and with Swe instruction book and swedish menu in the phone and the price is 5495sek. I was there to have a look at it, and on the package is a text like "Nordic retail" . Take a look at site.

I just found out that my phone is on the UK blacklist
vodafone tell me that the only thing I can do is go back to the company where I bought it and ask them to replace the handset but why would they do that unless they were involved in blacklisting the phone
it works fine outside of UK but thats not the point. I bought the phone new and it worked fine for 2 months in UK so either someone has made a mistake or the company I bought it from are trying to rip me off. However the place I bought it is known very well by a couple of know regular sellers here on Esato who have told me when I bought the phone that the place I got it is very good.
waiting to hear back from them anyway

Say what??
You mean it´s stolen or something? Didn´t you buy it new? That sucks man! Hope you can get it un-blacklisted in some way, i don´t know, show proof of purchase or whatever?

Hi all just got mine, yesterday after taking my S700i back cause it kept on crashing, and i have to say i like it a lot, this is the 1st non SE phone i have had in a long time, but its build is very good and user interface seems easy to use, and the bouns is that even though its on a vodaphone contract its not branded !

No, it´s a disgrace really! I am sure you will get it sorted though, and hopefully even some little freebie because of the hassle they have brought upon you
Telia SE closed my landline phone by mistake once and the following month´s calls were on the house
@LeeG
Glad to hear!
It does attract a lot of attention, doesn´t it? Everytime i answer a call out on town people have a long look. That doesn´t happen often with any other cellphone

well to continue the story, ExchangeMasters have gone all out, determined for sure the phone has been blocked somehow and since getting it unblocked via their supplier and the phone companies can take 2 weeks they are going to simply give me a replacement handset. Unfortunately as I'm back in Germany until the weekend I can't do it until then but it does work perfectly here so I get to use the old one for the week anyway.
I got it via their ebay shop btw and I can thoroughly recommend them as friendly and helpful guys (I already said that when I bought the phone but confirming it here again).. check 'em out!

Is there a way of remote unlocking my V3 or by using a code like with the delivery report thingy? Anyone know?

so, I got my replacement V3 back yesterday and it was all shiny and new with all the original protective plastic on inside screen, outside screen and keypad. Unfortuately turning it on showed it to be an O2 version but the great guys at exchangemasters are happily going to do a generic flash for me so off it went back in the post today. I'll get it back in a few days and this little story will be finished
