Well I don't use mms.
My operator doesn't provide it, but even if it did, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't send any mms.
Maybe try one.. (if it was free), but it's not so funny to compose mms's.. very timeconsuming.
But it's neat that you can use pictures from the picture book.
mrNoodles> You said "5 mms".. be sure to check out the other two avaliable.. compose a new mms, and there's two more. |

shawnmccall9> What do you mean with "in order to resume service after flashing?"
You won't loose your guarantee when you flash it..

el gato> i am not really sure to be honest. i assumed that information necessary gsm and gprs connections may be lost during the firmware flash. if only the easy stuff like adress entries and calender dates are lost then i have no reason to be concerned, but i thought that some of the basic subscriber settings may also be lost. i vaguely recall that you had some difficulty waping right after your upgrade, i am going to review that section and post more later

ElGato.
Thx havent noticed those!!
One more thing, why are a lot of people yelling and barking if the upcoming SW upgrade will contain all new features like on T68i. I mean you and Epedemic are "living proofs" of it!

Yes, Cytech...you said that settings for WAP/GPRS, settings for SMS will be erased. These are information that are crucial for the phone to function. The phonebook, pictures, ring tones...those are easy, I can beam those back into the phone with Irda. Can you tell me some places to get this information so that I will be able to use it once, if ever, it is flashed. Should I write down stuff in under the settings menu...what about the >*<<*<*, should I look there for importatn information? |

wouldn't call the SMS and WAP settings crucial... you can still make ordinary phonecalls those settings can easily be obtained at your operators website... to save you phonebook and that stuff you'll just use some nice syncprogram or something can be found on website...

Well I don't know what settings you have Shawn, so you'll have to look that up yourself.
This is easy, just ask your operator.
I didn't have any problems after the upgrade, no need to write in settings for sms or anything, but this is because most of the "cruitial" settings are stored on the sim.
I only had problems with my phonebook.
My irda doesn't work, so i couldn't sync my phone before the flash.
So when I put the sim card back into the phone, every phone number was divided (casue the sim can't store several phone numbers on one post like the phone).
So that's pretty timeconsuming, having to edit the phonebook.
There is one thing that isn't affected by the upgrade, and that is the codememory. Guess that's one of the few things that doesn't need any upgrading.
