ah... that sound like a good news
Now i want to track the actual number of user of FMA, maybe make it require to 'register' is a good idea?

Float, when do you plan to have fma support long messages?

long msg... what a popular request
It will be after editable phonebook. I've to change the SMS storage architecture, current implementation as 1 entry to 1 PDU, to 1 location; is difficult to support long msg. (unless i will only allow sending of long msg)

Well some people are allergic about being "required" to do something.
How about encouraging them to register so that long messages (when you're done with it) can only be activated after registration . |

I think it's a great idea to incentivize people to register as opposed to forcing them to register. That way, you (float) will get to keep track of the number of users of FMA and we (the FMA-adoring masses) get to feel good about registering as a way of giving you something back for your great program, while feeling even better knowing we're getting an extra feature or two in return
Think about it.

Oh i didn't know that it doesn't work on NT4. Exception 0xc0000025 just simply means NONCONTINUABLE EXCEPTION and i have no furture clue.
Maybe you could try installing SP5 if you've not already do so.
If i remember correctly NT4 does not have Active Scripting build in, maybe you could try installing it?

Float,
First let me thank you for making such a great program as the Mobile Agent!
Have you looked into using SyncML for integration with adress book apps?
As more and more join SyncML it looks like a safe bet for the future.
And for some inspiration, look at what Steve Jobs showed at his MacWorld key note speech:

Move forward to time: 01:23:30
http://www.apple.com/isync/
It seems you are good on your way to make an iSync for Windows, but even better!
Great work!

@YoMan
Yes i'm agree that SyncML is the way to go. However it is a standard, and that means a lot of reading to be compliant Still reluctant to find the document yet.
At the mean time i would like to do it steps by steps.
Ya, i thought about something like 'iSync for Window' when i saw it, but after all, XTNDConnectPC is there
@ShawO
I notice the server does goes down from time to time but it is usually back in a short while... (it is actually not too bad as a virtual server which cost USD2.29 per month )

Heh!
At least your 'for a while' was about 30mins i think???
That's how long I was trying...
With maxis.net the 'for a while' could be as long as 2 days!!!
Well... that was last year...
no problems yet this year so far...
The charges are RM 50/year for 50MB BUT you have to pay for the dialup internet access fees too!!!
It's RM 10/month for maxis user or RM 20 otherwise.
Furthermore you get a crappy pwp.maxis... address!
BTW: How much storage and bandwidth do you get and where you got it from? |

Float,
Congratulations on a great piece of software. I have had nothing but headaches using the SE software.
I have a problem I am hoping someone can help with. I have a T68m with the firmware upgraded to "i". I can connect my Toshiba laptop to my phone using your software through either Irda or COM but I cannot get it working with Bluetooth. If I use software to connect a serial port through Bluetooth your program works fine but not when I select "Bluetooth" in your program. I have XP Pro with SP1 Beta installed. I go into the Bluetooth setup, enter the address of the phone and leave the port set to "0". When I click on Connect, I receive the following error.." Error 10047 in function Connect (socket) Address family not supported by protocol family".
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or how to start troubleshooting?
Thanks

Unfortunatelly SP1 beta alone is not sulficient, you still need MS-Bluetooth Driver (beta) to use the 'native bluetooth' feature. Use Virtual Serial Port instead.
@ShawO
You can check out http://www.web229.net/, but i'm not recomending it
