uhmmm.. i'm a gonna try sun's services and i'm planning to subscribe for 1T/mo, i have very little budget so i'm up to grab SE t310 for php 500... right now, i'm using a boring 8250 smart-powered celfone. do u think it's just fine to switch from 8250-smart to t310-sun? although we (at leat most of us) know that ericsson has just introduced its first 3g fone and we also (again at least most of us) know that globe and smart are on a race to buy a 3g license... i'm just wondering if it'd be fine if i'd tie myself with sun for 2 years knowing that globe and smart will soon be operating on UMTS/GSM-GPRS???? anyone.. opinions please...

More than a month since I needed it, Sun now has roaming in the US. Other places with roaming agreements now are Singapore, HongKong, Switzerland, South Korea and South Africa.

well, that was just a figure of speech. anyways, about how'd globe and smart would offer their units... they said they were confident enough of theirs (either the rates or fones' prices) and if they'd be planning to drop their prices, they should have done it now, cause it's a big deal if their subscribers are to switch to sun.. well... my p.o.v. only..

As I mentioned before, their startup coverage is better compared to Globe and Smart when they started. MetroManila coverage is fine as well as major cities in the region. Get a pre-paid first so you can try it out.

Pre-paid kits are available in all Sun Shops (Galleria, Robinson's Ermita, Megamall among others) while pre-paid sims are available almost everywhere including MRT stations.
