Z5's camera is very inconsistent, some phones are taking excellent pictures but many of them are simply crap with lots of blurr, especially on the left side. |

Now im afraid to buy z5 series. I thought the blurriness could be fix by software update but it's the lens problem. Some users replace the z5 2-3 times but the problem still occurs. Why are you doing HTC and going suicide sony?

blind camera comparison
z5 vs ip6s vs galaxy s6
z5 appears to be doing great because you don't see the blurring on the corners/sides.
i just can't understand why these noobs compare using auto without getting the same scene. they know that the z5 has a significantly wider field of view but they insist on staying in the same location when shooting. as such, the camera's superior auto misjudges the scene and tries to brighten up the whole scene because of the greater amount of darkness. they should try getting closer to let superior auto judge and adjust to the same scene that other cameras are taking.
still, i am impressed by this:
that's ISO 1000!
imagine how good it will be if the z5 took the photo with the same settings as those of the s6 and ip6s. |

It's so interesting to see how the Xperia Z5 is doing so much better in the GSMArena blind test.
Perhaps the result would have been different if GSMArena had the LG G4 in the testbed.
I'm still not entirely convinced that the Xperia Z5 is a good update enough to wear the name Z5.
Some how, this feels more like the way the Xperia Z4 should have been.

Well they sort of wasted the Z4 name on the Japanese Z3+, lol, I think both the Z3+ and Z4 names are ones Sony would rather just forget for good.
I think most phones these days are not worth a whole number change, the Note 5, the Htc One M9 etc...all are incremental upgrades, and in some areas are downgrades. The Xperia Z5 manages to be an upgrade in every way from what I see.

It's kinda bad to see the Xperia Z5 not do so much better in the departments where it should win by a great margin.
I seriously hope the Xperia Z6 will change everything or the Xperia Z3 will be my last phone from Sony.

In GENERAL, smartphone sensors slowly come to their limits.
I mean expecting COMPLETELY different level of performance here...
It's funny.

Good for them because in many countries Sony's support is rubbish and they won't replace your phone unless it's really dead. |

The Good:
Amazing camera
Clever fingerprint scanner placement
Stunning display
The Bad:
Gets too hot
Battery life not all that
Ugly, clunky UI |
