FULL HD ???

^^ this is related to still image resolution, Full HD means a resolution of 1920x1080 and can be used to describe both still and video resolution

No... That's the picture size, not the video, can't you see. It's the resolution 1920 x 1080, instead 2mp. I think you aren't happy now.

Edit: Sorry Xajel, I didn't see your post.

The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand...

the problem with wayfinder is it isn't free, you have to pay for your usage for ever, It will be much nicer if there's one time pay only and then you can purchase updated maps when you need...

Doubt it will play flash videos. It is only Flash Lite 2.0.

It's 2.1. But are there any chances the phone to use 3.0?

All SE phones that have GPS apps inside the FW have a built-in GPS receiver,C905 has a claimed AGPS only at the SE website but has in reality a builtin GPS that can work without WIFI (walking in the mountains)
You can be sure to have pure GPS in your SE if you have the option ''Assisted Start'' in the GPS settings, this option means that you can turn OFF AGPS and leave the GPS receiver do all the work without any internet(in Tracker for exemple),google maps in actual SE phones still use internet whatever you do and there are no options to use GPS instead of AGPS like in S60 versions

This is the problem with SE GPS implemintation, you have to use the net in order to download maps, and if there's no WiFi then it will use the expensive mobile network internet which is bad !!

WayFinder is very nice option, after you buy a license you can download maps to your device and then use it without internet, but the problem is WayFinder have time limited license, 1 or 3 years then it ends and you have to buy another license ( or extend the license )... while in the license time you can download the maps for free, I would like more to have pay as you update, so you first get the maps as trial for 3 months, then if you liked the program buy it and you will have 1 year of free maps, after that the program will run but if you want to update your maps then you have to pay for the new updated maps... this is much much better option specially if you don't use GPS that much.

I mean there's peoples who use GPS every day, and theres peoples who use it once a week or a month or when they go out for a trip, why paying that much for both cases ?

I really hope SE to change this situation, a lot of peoples prefere other brands when they talk about GPS functionality... Google maps can be changed to not use internet ( downloading the maps locally by PC or download once and only need internet when you want new maps ), and Wayfinder can have other license policy

While I can see that aGPS is more efficient, it's also more expensive. And yes, yes, I know there are many about to jump in and say "Get a REAL GPS".

If one needs internet access then won't it suffice to use GoogleMaps? And in HOW many countries can we find "Street WiFi"...so needing WiFi for accessing maps is a bummer! I often travel to foreign countries and find myself in a position where a GPS would be really handy. Hence, I thought that having a WavNav in one's phone would really be convenient.

Xajel, I'm with you on the hopes that GPS functionality will change in the near future.

if u want to use aGPS u have to have GPS chip in your device. aGPS mean assisted GPS.
it uses the tower information of yout service provider as to where you are to get a lock faster.

edit: i thought s60v5 comes with flashlite 3.0 preinstalled?

aGPS simply means that you can have assisted start with internet to get faster the first fix. nothing more. and you can disable it from the gps settings without problems. afaik all SE gps enabled phones have also assisted start. however with wayfinder 8 you can preload maps and pay a minimum for the connection (ca. 40kb per hour of navigation) only for the route or traffic updates etc. there is also a small discount for SE users on the wayfinder site.

@iqtidar - this phone isn't Symbian S60. Satio is symbian.
