As far as I know, there are only a few reasons you'd get a P1i over a G900 now, and many reasons why you shouldn't. It depends on what matters to you. The P1i's only major features it has over the G900 is the QWERTY keypad (if you like it better), the materials used to make it, the screen size and of course it is likely to be significantly cheaper right now.

The G900 has a 5MP camera with touch focus, WiFi b/g (as opposed to the P1i's WiFi b only) so faster internet, an improved user interface, it is smaller, better looking (in my opinion), and of course it is a brand new phone so you are guaranteed support from SE, whereas with the P1i, there aren't many, if any, updates coming.

I would take the G900 no questions asked. It all really depends on what you can afford and what matters to you!

Hey lol, I'm a highschool student, and I'm wondering if the G900 is the right phone for me, otherwise I'll revert to the C902, I'm basically in between both phones atm, both have nice features, but the design of the G900 is not as impacting as the C902, I was wondering, is a Symbian touchscreen phone really useful for my situation and is bestpic an essential function for the camera, which would be more preferable?

However...the G900 is so much more...really...after having a smartphone, you wonīt be going for feature phone again. And now that SE finally made a smartphone that looks like a normal feature phone, i think there should be no doubts

I think I found a bug on G900. Every time I scan for WiFi connections the phone restarts. Don't know why, scanning used to work fine before.

Looks like I will have to do the first master reset.

Hey stephen.

The best pic feature is not massively useful to be honest from my personal experience with it. More of a gimmick than a feature you would use day in day out.

Im in a similar sittuation as you, i was was between c902 and g900.

But some clear factors ahve made my mind up for me.

a) although the c902 is a cybershot, its pictures are not really that great, and in daylight, theres basically no differnece between the two phones (g900 and c902)

b) the g900 is a smart phone at the end of the day, and its possibilties are endless. its organiser function will be really useful for keeping me organised for my busy summer ahead.

c) the slide mechanism on the c902 looks very suspect, people have already highlighted problems with dust getting into it.

d) the screen - at the end of the day, a lovely 2.4 inch screen on the g900 looks way better than the 2.0 screen on the c902, especially for watching movies, internet browsing etc etc.

Basically, i have come to the decision of getting the g900, as it can just about do everything that the c902 can do, and more.

Hope that helps.

I think you made it really clear...right now there isnīt any SE feature phone that justifies itself to be bought instead of G900/G700...IMO...

I think we are lucky to be honest. It has been a long long time since the last all rounder phone.

Perhaps the k700i?

Now the G900 gives us great options by combining smart phone functionality, with a top level camera, large 2.4 touch screen, media player and wifi & 3g.

It really is a great allrounder

true, but that excludes the price factor.

Let's also mention the lagging (however short it is on the G900, it's not instantaneous as on feature phones), which can irritate some "basic" users and let make them turn to a feature phone instead.
