Thanks. With the Nokia 6630 (Symbian Phone) you couldn't do that so I hope with the N95 you can, but saying that i think it cant. Can N95 users verify please?
Many Thanks.

N95 can record phone conversation (and so can the 6630!!!).
All Nokia's symbian can do this since the very early days (N3650). I think u confused with SE p-series which have never been able to record phone converstations.

stills of N95 look like they are interpolated of smaller size chip. Mine 2MP cam makes better photos...What's wrong with those "5MP"?
Are you sure Nokia makes them of 5MP chip? I don't think so... |

I think there are some legal concerns why this kind of feature cannot be enabled on the phones. For example in US federal law requires consent from one of the involved parties to be allowed to record the conversation. Some states in US have different laws where all parties must give consent to the recording. EU laws are most likely more complex, as each country has their own set of laws.
Apart from legal advice, I'm sure you can find freeware/shareware recording software that you can use any way you want. Just be adviced that it might be illegal to do so.
Here is one example after quick search, I don't know anything about the site or the application so be careful. http://www.killermobile.com/total_recall.html

That is why there is a "beep" sound when you are recording phone calls.
Fortunately some 3rd party software has been able disable this sound even on the new N95.
I dont suggest you try if your country have pass a law forbiding voice recording without consent.

@dogmann...
u r correct... lol. N93 is still the dogs nuts for takin video clips whilst the N73 still seems to b best on overall pic quality....
Once this purple haze is sorted though the N95 will b a lot better for sure!!! |

to be honest, I'm no "picturephile", if thats the name for the photo equivalent of an audiophile, and I think these pictures are perfectly acceptable for most peoples albums
I guess here we do scrutinise things to the Nth degree though
anyway, I'll try and get similar pics from the same place when we get a firmware update and see how this changes, if at all

its a solid slide with a satisfying clunk as it locks into its open or closed position I don't see any issues there

not that I have seen. I just gae the zoom a bit of a workout and still no issue
I did try the sequencing mode and burst seems ok but when set to 10 seconds it hung the camera app first time and has totally disabled the phone second time requiring a battery pull out and replace to get it going again
also, camera seems to be an app you cannot close from the task view screen
